After reading the replies to this post, it is clear that the reason OpenAI buys so many Mac Minis and Mac Studios is to train their computer use. That use case makes a lot more sense, because for straight compute they are building their own chips optimized for their models.

The people who are still defending them clearly will not change their mind. They support Anthropic's mission, and care very little about usage limits. I think the real problem isn't the limits but how they were deceptive to their users.
