My best guess

Pros:
Geographical location may favor certain satellite orbits.
No population centers in the launch direction, just sea.
Nearby military grade airport and harbour.
Mountains shield most of the direction where people live (Andenes with 2000 people is the only nearby).
Rather cool summers
Norway is a stable country, as well as a Nato member.

Cons:
Other satellite orbits not as favorable
Weather exposed, heavy snow showers in winter
Often strong wind
Mountains may generate turbulence at some wind directions
Salt spray during storms
Freezing temperatures during part of the year
Rather cumbersome to reach by road.

Most likely they shipped it there. (Although not sure which port has cargo capability) On land it would likely have to go through Sweden as Norway's highway 85 is interrupted by ferry. It would be about 3300km.

No ferry needed if you go via Langøya rather than Senya. There's one tunnel but it can be gone around, though it's a fairly windy road to do so. By ship is surely easier but for a 2m rocket they can probably truck it.
I wasn't gong through Senja. I was thinking of southern route through Finnøya/Narvik.
