Dear community

I'm here to apply for admin right on Commons. I have been here from July 2010 but I started to be active in January 2011 and since then I have made more than 3300 edits. I'm a trusted user and active in checking new images. I also take part in deletion policy here like DRs, speedy deletion and image tagging. I don't say that I understand all the copyright issues but I will ask for opinions from a more experienced user. Becoming an admin, I will help fighting with copyvio, closing DRs and deal with request for rights here while continuing with image reviewing, patrolling.

I may be not a very qualified candidate so please tell me the problem. I appreciate all of your votes and I will be thankful if everyone gives me advice for this right. Best regards Hoangquan hientrang (talk) 11:28, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Oppose for now, user lacks understanding of the deletion policy, recently I saw him nominator several files for speedy deletion that are obviously not eligible for copyright, e.g. this and this file. I'm affraid giving this user the admin buttons now will lead to unnecessary speedy deletions - Jcb (talk) 12:43, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for showing them. But sometimes PD-text logo can be mistaken--Hoangquan hientrang (talk) 12:59, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm not going to vote on this. While I don't think that User_talk:Jameslwoodward#Bureaucrat_nomination was actually an effort to buy my vote here, some of our colleagues might interpret it that way. HH has over 3,000 edits on Commons, including 300+ in the Commons: namespace, so he or she is within our usual requirement for experience. HH is a native speaker of Vietnamese and would be our first Admin with any skill with that language.      Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 11:57, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Withdraw

OK, as Jim's advice, I will withdraw this RfA. I will gain more experience on DRs as well as licensimg policy. Once again, thank you for the advice, Jim--Hoangquan hientrang (talk) 04:17, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
