X Turns Jewish Grief into a Target, Again
Abuse and Conspiracies Following the Golders Green Attack
CW: Antisemitism In April 2026, two Jewish men were stabbed in Golders Green, London. On X, the responses were vicious. Again. CCDH analysed 130 hateful replies to posts by 10 prominent British Jewish personalities and organisations on X. Some celebrated the attack claiming Jewish people deserved the violence. Others minimised the Holocaust, called for deportation, and spread antisemitic slurs. Every one of those replies appeared to violate X's own rules. This is not the first time X fails to comply with the UK Online Safety Act and stop antisemitism. In 2025, following the Heaton Park synagogue attack in Manchester, where two Jewish people died, we found the same pattern: abuse, threats, and calls for violence left up on the platform.
