We’re thrilled to celebrate an exciting milestone at our new U.S. factory in Virginia this week - a ‘topping out’ of the final steel beam. 🏗️ This symbolic moment marks an important step in our journey towards opening this state-of-the-art manufacturing site in 2027. In keeping with tradition, the final beam was signed by all 1,300 attendees before it was raised into place, topped with a 2.5-foot tree made of LEGO® bricks 🌲 - a playful twist on the customary evergreen. Today we’re celebrating the opening of a major expansion at our LEGO® factory in Nyíregyháza, Hungary! 🏭🎉 With this expansion, we’ve increased total production capacity by 30%. We’re also proud to have created over 300 new jobs, bringing our total team size in Hungary to more than 4,300 talented colleagues. This milestone represents a significant step forward in meeting the increasing global demand for LEGO products and in strengthening our operational capabilities throughout Europe. It is also a testament to our commitment to sustainable growth, innovation, and delivering more LEGO play experiences to children and fans everywhere. We’re celebrating 25 years of our Kladno factory in the Czech Republic with a tribute fit for royalty. 👑📯 This morning, we unveiled a large-scale model of the St. Wenceslas Crown, built from 128,333 LEGO® bricks in honour of a beloved symbol of the Czech Republic. The impressive model will shine alongside the real Crown Jewels in front of Prague Castle this weekend, accompanied by playful learning activities for children and families, before touring the region in the coming weeks. ✨ More than an anniversary, this is a celebration of the people, passion, and purpose that have shaped 25 years of excellence at Kladno. 😍 Since 2000, the factory has become a site for packaging, and epic models seen in LEGOLAND® parks, LEGO Brand Retail stores, exhibitions, and campaigns worldwide - including this crown itself. A meaningful step towards 100% renewable energy 🌏 LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam is celebrating the signing of a Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA) with Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP Vietnam), one of the first of its kind in Vietnam! The DPPA is an important step towards operating our new factory on 100% renewable energy. Under the agreement, renewable electricity from VSIP’s large-scale solar panels will be supplied directly to our factory and stored in a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), ensuring a stable and consistent energy supply - rain or shine! This solution is expected to help reduce around 15,000 tonnes of CO₂e each year and comes in addition to the 12,400 rooftop solar panels already installed on our buildings.
