
The coal supplied in July marks the highest-ever coal offtake for the month in any financial year. The previous highest July supply was 60.5 million tonnes in 2024.
This follows a record performance in June, when the state-run miner supplied 65.95 million tonnes of coal, its highest-ever supply for June.
Coal India's cumulative coal supplies during the first four months of FY27 rose 6.9% year-on-year to a record 262.04 million tonnes, beating 259.4 million tonnes achieved in April-July FY25.
