
Sensex Today | Nifty 50 | Stock Market Highlights: Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty opened marginally higher on Friday amid positive global cues, but soon oscillated between gains and losses as heightened volatility kept investors on edge.



Silver prices declined on Friday, with futures falling Rs 817 to Rs 2,19,150 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange as traders reduced positions. The September contract dropped 0.37% with a turnover of 456 lots. Analysts attributed the decline to profit booking, while global prices also weakened, with silver trading 0.70% lower at $58.57 per ounce in New York.
Gold prices declined on Friday, with futures dropping Rs 818 to Rs 1,44,022 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange amid weak spot demand. The October contract fell 0.56% with a turnover of 683 lots. Analysts said subdued physical demand weighed on prices, while global gold futures were down 0.69% at $4,075 per ounce in New York.


Swiggy and Eternal shares have rallied sharply in July as investors reassess the competitive landscape following Zepto's IPO valuation reset. South Korea and Taiwan's market capitalisation surged rapidly through the third week of June 2026, driven by a meteoric rally in semiconductor stocks that fuelled a sharp rise in their equity markets.
Most leading brokerages raised their price targets for Asian Paints after the company's June-quarter earnings topped expectations, but largely retained their existing recommendations. Analysts said rich valuations, rising raw material costs and intense competition continue to cap the stock's upside.
