ETTelecomHFCL bags Rs 442 crore optical fibre cable export order
The order, received through the company's overseas subsidiary from a "renowned international customer", is scheduled to be executed by January 2027, HFCL said in a regulatory filing.
"The company has secured export orders worth USD 46.13 million, equivalent to Rs 441.53 crore, for the supply of optical fibre cables, through its overseas subsidiary, from a renowned international customer," the filing said.
The latest contract comes weeks after HFCL won another export order worth Rs 495.8 crore from an international data centre company for the supply of optical fibre cables.
The company has also been expanding its manufacturing capacity. HFCL recently announced plans to increase its optical fibre cable capacity to 45 million fibre-route kilometres (rkm) annually from 39 million rkm, while its optical fibre manufacturing capacity is being scaled up to 40 million rkm per year from 30 million rkm.
HFCL's optical fibre cable (OFC) business reported its highest-ever order book of Rs 13,483 crore in the previous financial year.
