Crude oil futures recovered, with MCX August contracts rising 1.36% to Rs 8,224 per barrel, tracking global gains as renewed US strikes on Iran heightened supply disruption fears. Brent and WTI also advanced, though gains were partly capped by easing geopolitical concerns and ongoing US-Iran negotiations.

Veritas Finance has refiled its draft IPO papers with Sebi, proposing a Rs 900 crore fresh issue along with an offer for sale of up to 1.28 crore shares by existing investors.
Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.71% as Advantest’s upbeat profit forecast lifted chip stocks, boosting peers like Tokyo Electron and Murata. However, the broader Topix fell 0.54% as banking stocks and Toyota declined, reflecting continued rotation into AI-linked tech shares while value stocks remained under pressure.
The Reserve Bank of India likely intervened in the forex market to limit the rupee’s fall as rising oil prices pressured the currency, traders said. The rupee slipped 0.1% to 95.73 per dollar, while Brent crude rose over 2% to nearly $93 per barrel amid Middle East tensions. State-run banks were seen selling dollars, indicating possible RBI action.

Indo-MIM is set to make its stock market debut on the BSE and NSE today, with investor interest remaining strong ahead of the listing. The company’s IPO continues to trade at a significant premium in the grey market, signalling expectations of a strong opening on the exchanges.
Manipal Health Enterprises, a healthcare services provider, plans to raise ₹8,000 crore through a fresh issue of shares. The proceeds will be used for debt repayment, acquiring a stake in a subsidiary, and general corporate purposes. The company will also raise ₹1,275 crore through an offer for sale (OFS).

Indian equity markets staged a strong rally on Wednesday, with benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty gaining over 1% each despite a sharp rise in crude oil prices amid escalating US-Iran tensions. The Sensex jumped 889 points to settle at 77,655, while the Nifty climbed 265 points to close above the 24,250 mark. The broad-based rally boosted investor wealth by more than Rs 4 lakh crore, taking the total market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies to Rs 483 lakh crore.
