
Sensex Today | Nifty 50 | Stock Market Highlights: The Indian stock market closed lower on Monday, with Sensex and Nifty falling up to 0.6% after recording sharp gains in the previous session as Iran-US war escalations and rising oil prices spooked investors.


Industrial machinery manufacturer Lohia Corp Ltd on Monday said it has fixed a price band of Rs 404-425 per equity share for its upcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO), valuing the company at around Rs 4,500 crore at the higher end.
The company's Rs 1,102 crore IPO will open for public subscription on July 23 and conclude on July 27, while the bidding for anchor investors will open on July 22, according to a public announcement.







Oil prices jumped about 3% on Monday, with Brent oil prices surpassing $90 per barrel, as escalating U.S.-Iran hostilities in the Middle East restricted oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.
Brent crude futures climbed $2.77, or 3.14%, to $90.87 by 0612 GMT, touching the highest since June 11, extending gains after rising 15.9% last week, its biggest weekly gain since April.

The Nifty Midcap 150 scaled a record high last week, while the Smallcap 250 came within striking distance of its all-time peak. However, the broader market painted a more subdued picture. The BSE's average monthly Advance-Decline ratio hovered around 1, signalling that the number of rising and falling stocks remained nearly evenly balanced on most trading days, despite the strength in select mid- and small-cap indices.
