Sensex Today | Nifty 50 | Stock Market Highlights: Indian equities snapped a five-session losing streak on Monday, supported by a sharp fall in oil prices after a pause in US-Iran tensions and optimism around earnings. Benchmark indices rose nearly 1%, with broad-based buying across sectors and gains in IT, banks and consumption stocks.

Housing and Urban Development Corporation reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 851 crore for the June quarter. The company also announced a dividend of Rs 1.25 per share, with total revenue from operations at Rs 3,717 crore.

Copper prices edged higher on Monday as a sharp fall in oil prices, following a pause in US-Iran hostilities, eased inflation concerns and supported sentiment for growth-linked metals. A weaker dollar and declining global inventories, particularly in China, also lent support, though investors remain cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s rate decision later this week.

The Nifty 50 fell more than 2.3% last week, slipping below the crucial 23,800 support level that had held in recent weeks. Analysts believe the index has entered oversold territory and could stage a pullback towards 24,000 if it manages to hold above 23,600, particularly if crude oil prices continue to ease. The Nifty ended Friday's session at 23,767.
Oil prices fell while global stocks and bonds advanced after the U.S. and Iran avoided further retaliatory strikes, easing fears of disruptions to Middle East energy supplies following the recent escalation in regional tensions.
