    The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the schedule for NEET UG Counselling 2026 for admission to MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and other seats under its purview.

    Candidates who qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026 can register online through the official MCC counselling portal. The counselling process will be conducted entirely online and admissions will be based on NEET UG 2026 ranks.

    Candidates are advised to read the counselling information bulletin carefully before registering, as admissions will be subject to the eligibility criteria laid down by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the Dental Council and other regulatory authorities.

    NEET UG Counselling 2026: Eligibility criteria

    Candidates can participate in the counselling process if they:

    • Qualified NEET UG 2026.
    • Meet the eligibility requirements for MBBS, BDS or BSc Nursing admissions.
    • Fulfil the prescribed qualifying percentile and other admission criteria.
    • Complete the online registration within the stipulated timeline.

    Candidates seeking admission under state quota seats must also register separately with the respective state counselling authorities, wherever applicable.

    NEET UG Counselling 2026: How to apply

    Candidates can complete the registration process by following these steps:

    1. Visit the official MCC counselling website.
    2. Click on the NEET UG Counselling 2026 registration link.
    3. Log in using your NEET UG application credentials.
    4. Complete the registration and pay the counselling fee.
    5. Fill in the required personal and academic details.
    6. Upload the necessary documents, if applicable.
    7. Select and arrange colleges and courses in order of preference.
    8. Lock the choices before the deadline and submit the application.

    NEET UG Counselling 2026: Documents required

    Candidates should keep the following documents ready for registration and admission:

    • NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard.
    • Class 10 certificate as proof of date of birth.
    • Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate.
    • Valid photo identity proof.
    • Recent passport-size photographs.
    • Category certificate, if applicable.

    What happens before the seat allotment result?

    Once the registration window closes, candidates will be allowed to fill and lock their preferred colleges and courses. The order of preferences is crucial, as it directly influences seat allocation.

    After the choice-filling process ends, MCC will prepare the seat allotment based on several factors, including the candidate's NEET UG 2026 rank, category, reservation policy, seat availability and the preferences submitted during counselling.

    Before publishing the allotment list, MCC will verify candidate data, validate the seat matrix received from participating institutions and complete the technical processing required for seat allocation.

    Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 will have to report to their respective institutes within the prescribed schedule to complete the admission formalities. Eligible candidates who wish to seek a better option may be allowed to participate in subsequent counselling rounds for seat upgradation, as per MCC guidelines.
