There's more for #Beluga No. 4! 🐳 This week, one of our beloved original Airbus airlifters took to the skies for its final flight after more than 2 decades of loyal service. The BelugaST has played a central role in connecting #Airbus' European production and assembly sites whilst delighting fans young and old with every sighting of this unique whale-like super-transporter. ✈️ Its reliability and unique cargo capabilities paved the way for our next generation of super-transporters, the #BelugaXL fleet. A major milestone for Air Niugini! The national carrier of Papua New Guinea has officially become the 25th global operator to welcome the #A220 in its fleet with the delivery of its first A220-300, on lease from Azorra! This aircraft marks a significant step in the airline's fleet modernisation programme, which includes eight A220-100s on direct order and three A220-300s leased from Azorra. Featuring a special livery for the country's 50th anniversary of independence, the A220 will boost efficiency - delivering 25% less fuel consumption than previous-generation aircraft - and passenger comfort across its regional and international network. In August 2025, we delivered 61 aircraft to 39 customers, and reached 100 #A350-1000 deliveries. ✈️ We also added 99 new aircraft to our backlog, including a major order from Avolon for 15 #A330neo and 75 #A321neo - part of the most successful aircraft family ever. We are thrilled to share a major leap forward for the Airbus UpNext eXtra Performance Wing demonstrator! ✈️ A pair of extra-special wings – with folding wingtips – have been fitted to our #CessnaCitation VII test aircraft in Cazaux, France. The aircraft is now transformed, sporting a longer, leaner, and lighter set of wings designed to further explore aerodynamics. This isn't just an upgrade, it's a key step in our quest to reduce aircraft fuel consumption, accelerating the tech needed for the next generation of ultra-efficient aircraft.
