After a discussion with the Docs team (see issue) this is the final solution we want for the Titles and Text panel:

If we have capacity to do that, an additional step would be to separate the information in sections in order to be more clear and less repetitive:

Other follow up tasks:

• fix the deprecated values used barBackground: colors.lightestShade, emptyBackground: colors.emptyShade, blendingBackground: colors.emptyShade,

• improve the current "supporting visualization" form with the following changes (review with @gvnmagni and Docs team the labels):

  • remove that separate selection and move it under the appearance section
  • use the following labels:
    • Panel Visualization : switch with None, Progress Bar, Time Series Chart/Sparkline
    • Apply Color To: switch with Panel Background or Value label visible only if Panel Visualization is None
    • Color mode: switch with Static and Dynamic
    • Select color: if Color Mode is Static
    • Dynamic color mapping if Color mode is Dynamic
