@open-telemetry/go-approvers I have chosen to fix the linter issues here by ignoring package name collisions with STD.
We do have package names collision, but they are valid. And there are so many of them that ignoring inline didn't seem like the proper approach.

Since this decision may be a bit controversial, I'll wait for 2 approvals to merge.
