After hitting the market on May 29 for $15.25 million, Meg Ryan has already accepted an offer for her traditional shingled estate in New York’s exclusive Bridgehampton enclave, marking another win for the rom-com icon and avid home renovator. Evan Kulman of Compass held the listing, with Paul Brennan and Martha Gundersen of Douglas Elliman representing the buyer.

Ryan, who last starred in the 2023 film What Happens Later opposite David Duchovny, purchased the serene retreat in late 2024 for $13.5 million. Originally built in 2016 by local architect Kathrine “Kitty” McCoy, the abode features white-washed, quintessential East Coast interiors updated with Ryan’s signature aesthetic.

Set down a long gated driveway off a cul-de-sac south of Montauk Highway, on a flag-shaped parcel spanning 1.5 acres, the cedar and white-accented structure has five bedrooms and half a dozen bathrooms, plus a powder room. Roughly 4,900 square feet across three stories showcases wide-plank oak floors, shiplap-paneled walls, five fireplaces, and a geothermal heating and cooling system. There’s also a custom dog-washing station with hot and cold running water.

On the main level, a light-filled entry foyer flows to a sunken living room with a coffered ceiling and a white-painted wood fireplace with a mosaic-tiled surround. A formal dining space has French doors opening to a patio, while an expansive kitchen is outfitted with a large marble island and an accompanying breakfast nook and sunroom.

Elsewhere are four upstairs bedrooms, most notably a spacious primary suite holding a fireside sitting area, a private balcony, and a wainscoted and wallpapered bath spotlighted by a vintage-style soaking tub and a steam shower. A finished lower level, meanwhile, comes with a guest suite, a secondary living area, and a fully equipped gym.

Curated by LaGuardia Design Group, the park-like grounds are adorned with mature specimen trees and dense hedging. The estate also hosts a covered porch with a massive red brick fireplace and a 20-foot-by-50-foot heated Gunite swimming pool surrounded by a sprawling lawn.

A seasoned player when it comes to real estate, Ryan has owned at least nine homes from California to the East Coast over the years. Among them are a Soho loft she paid actor Hank Azaria $8 million for in 2014 and transferred three years later for $10 million, and a Montecito property she bought from Alicia McFarlane, the granddaughter of John Wayne, in 2021 for $9.5 million and sold last year for about $16.8 million.

Her long-standing primary residence is in Manhattan, where she owns a luxury apartment at the star-studded 443 Greenwich Street building in Tribeca.
