At SammyGuru, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the limited circumstances in which it is shared. SammyGuru is operated by Dope Tech Daily LLC.
Information We Collect
- Personal information. Your name, email address, and shipping details, typically collected when you sign up for Rewards, enter a promotion, or subscribe to our newsletter.
- Mobile number. Only if you choose to join SMS Alerts. See the SMS Alerts section below.
- Device and technical data. IP address, browser type, and device identifiers.
- Affiliate tracking data. When you click an affiliate link, we and the retailer may use cookies to attribute a resulting purchase.
- User activity. How you interact with our content, such as page views and time on site.
How We Use Your Information
- Fulfill Mystery Box rewards and promotions
- Send the emails and alerts you signed up for
- Track affiliate sales so rewards can be credited
- Improve the site and decide what to write next
- Keep the service secure and working
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only where it is needed to run the service, and only with companies that process it on our behalf:
- Laylo delivers our SMS Alerts.
- Kit delivers our email newsletters.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. receives limited advertising measurement data, described in the Advertising and Measurement section below. Your email address is only ever sent to Meta in hashed form.
- Reward fulfilment and affiliate partners, where a partner is needed to ship a reward or attribute a sale. They are required to protect your data.
- Analytics and hosting providers, which process data securely on our behalf.
We do not share your data with unrelated third parties, and we do not provide your name, email address or phone number to advertisers.
Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies. These fall into three groups:
- Essential cookies that the site needs to work, including keeping you logged in.
- Analytics cookies that tell us how visitors use the site.
- Affiliate and advertising cookies that attribute purchases for rewards, and that support the measurement described below.
You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can clear them at any time. Blocking them may affect some features, such as reward attribution on an affiliate purchase.
We do not currently show a cookie consent banner. If that changes, this page will be updated before it does.
Advertising and Measurement
We measure how people find and use SammyGuru so we can understand which articles and offers are worth producing. Some of that measurement involves sharing limited information with advertising platforms.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API. We use both, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. The pixel runs in your browser. The Conversions API sends the same kinds of events from our server, which is more reliable when a browser blocks scripts.
- What is shared. Page views, and for account signups and Mystery Box orders, the event itself along with your IP address, browser user agent, and your email address in hashed form. Hashing means we send a scrambled value rather than the address itself.
- Why. To measure whether our advertising works, and to avoid showing you ads for something you already have.
- Google Tag Manager. We use it to load and manage the measurement tags described above.
- Your choices. You can limit this through your Meta ad preferences, your browser’s cookie controls, or a tracker-blocking extension. Blocking these does not affect your ability to read the site or use your Rewards account.
SMS Alerts
If you give us your mobile number, we use it to send the SammyGuru SMS Alerts described in our Rewards & Mystery Box Terms. Joining is optional and is never a condition of buying anything.
- What we collect. Your mobile number, the date you opted in, and whether each message was delivered.
- Who processes it. We use Laylo as our messaging provider. Laylo stores your number and delivers the messages on our behalf as a service provider. SammyGuru remains the sender, and your consent is to receive messages from us.
- What we do not do. We do not sell your number, and we do not use it for anything other than the alerts you signed up for.
- How to stop. Reply STOP to any message. You can also email [email protected] and ask us to remove your number.
Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA
If you are in the European Union or California, you have specific rights under the General Data Protection Regulation or the California Consumer Privacy Act, including:
- The right to know what personal data we collect and how it is used
- The right to request access to, or deletion of, your personal data
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your data. We do not sell personal data.
- The right to data portability, and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights

Your Choices
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any message.
- Reply STOP to any text to leave SMS Alerts.
- Request deletion or correction of your data by emailing [email protected].
- Disable cookies in your browser, or limit ad measurement through the links in the Advertising and Measurement section.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
