About CBDfx
CBDfx is a manufacturer of cannabidiol-based wellness products. Founded in 2014 by Ali Esmaili and Jameson Rodgers in the San Fernando Valley, its mission has been to make high-quality, organic and non-GMO CBD products available to consumers. In 2025, CBDfx has expanded from its origins to establish itself as the fifth-largest privately owned CBD firm globally. Today, the company has a workforce of over 100 individuals.
CBDfx products are made from industrial hemp and comply with the 2018 Farm Bill, meaning they contain less than 0.3% delta 9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). However, it’s important to note that using products that contain delta-9 THC (even in trace amounts) may lead to a positive drug test for THC, according to the company.
CBDfx’s Product Testing & Standards
CBDfx produces high-quality, vegan (except for capsules, which contain gelatin), non-GMO CBD products sourced from organically grown, pesticide-free hemp. They are made in facilities that adhere to Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) standards, which are regulations enforced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure that products are consistently produced according to quality standards, ensuring their safety, efficacy and potency.
Are CBDfx’s Products Lab Tested By Third Parties?
Yes. After manufacture, CBDfx claims its products are tested eight times by independent, ISO 17025-certified third-party labs for impurities or defects to ensure reliability. Each product manufactured by CBDfx features a traceable QR code linked to its lab report, providing transparency about its production details, including where and when it was made, so consumers can feel confident about the product they are using. Each lab report, called a Certificate of Analysis (COA), is posted on the company’s website for consumer review.
COAs contain analysis on the following:
- Cannabinoids
- Heavy metals
- Microbials
- Mycotoxins
- Residual solvents
- Pesticides

Our Experience With CBDfx
Forbes Health conducted a firsthand review of CBDfx’s original mixed berry CBD gummies in 2024. From purchase to consumption, our tester’s experience was largely positive. The gummies were easy to take, featuring a pleasant aroma and a chewy texture that struck a good balance—neither too hard nor too soft. The mixed berry flavor was enjoyable, with an earthy hemp undertone that wasn’t overpowering.
Over three weeks, the tester consumed a total of 50 milligrams of CBD daily, the daily recommended dosage on the bottle. While the tester noted no drastic changes, they did say there was a general sense of increased relaxation. The convenience of gummies was appreciated, especially compared to the traditional tincture method, which requires holding oil under the tongue for 60 seconds.
However, it’s important to note that sublingual absorption is often deemed more effective than edibles, and new users should consider starting with a low dose and gradually increasing as necessary, as more is not always better.
CBDfx has 3.3 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot based on an average of 75 reviews, with 52% of the company’s reviews being one star, mainly due to issues with shipping and returns. Among the five-star reviews, compliments included customer service and product quality. Many individuals who purchased CBD products to relieve pain found them effective.
CBDfx does not have accreditation from the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and there are no reviews or complaints listed on its BBB page.
CBDfx Lab Testing Results

CBDfx Products CBD Potency
CBDfx offers a variety of CBD products, including oils, gummies, capsules and creams, which are available in various potencies to meet different user needs. For example, the Mixed Berry CBD gummies tested by our reviewer are available in strengths from 50 to 200 milligrams of broad-spectrum CBD per serving (two gummies).
Beginners may opt to select lower-potency options, such as the 1500 mg CBD Gummies (50 milligrams per serving) for a gentle introduction to CBD. As users gain experience, they can explore higher potencies, or choose a product containing full-spectrum CBD plus delta-9 THC.
CBDfx offers both full-spectrum products, which contain all of the naturally occurring compounds from the hemp plant, including trace amounts of THC; broad-spectrum options, which have had all detectable levels of THC filtered out; and CBD isolate products, where all other hemp matter is removed. When choosing a potency, it’s best to start at a low dose and adjust as needed, especially for beginners.
CBDfx Price & Quality
CBDfx offers gummies ranging from $34.99 to $59.99 per bottle, but customers can receive a 25% discount when they subscribe to receive a delivery every two, four, six or eight weeks. Purchasing bundles is another way to reduce costs, and a total purchase over $99 qualifies for free shipping. Pricing for the brand’s capsules and tinctures runs from $64.99 to $89.99. Topicals range from $39.99 to $49.99, and bath bombs are $9.99.
According to the company, quality is at the forefront of CBDfx’s mission to provide exceptional CBD products. Although the CBD industry currently lacks stringent regulation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, CBDfx uses premium, hemp-derived ingredients sourced from organically grown U.S. farms.
All of CBDfx’s products are manufactured in facilities that adhere to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs), ensuring that every batch meets rigorous standards for safety, consistency and purity. CBDfx partners with independent laboratories to conduct extensive third-party testing, with each product analyzed for cannabinoid potency, terpene profiles and the absence of harmful substances such as pesticides, heavy metals and microbial contaminants.
How To Choose the Right CBDfx Product for You
To find the right CBDfx product for your needs, check the Certificates of Analysis (COAs), which confirm the potency and safety of the CBD. These lab results should indicate the absence of harmful substances and verify the product’s cannabinoid content. CBDfx prioritizes organic ingredients that avoid pesticides and harmful chemicals.
CBDfx offers a range of products at varying price points, so identify what fits your financial plan without compromising quality. Additionally, think about the product type—whether oils, gummies or topicals—based on your preferred method of consumption. Reading customer reviews to gauge real-life experiences and effectiveness can also help guide your decision.
The product’s potency is important, too. If you’re brand-new to CBD, start with the lowest amount, making adjustments as you gauge your experience. If you’ve been using CBD or delta-9 THC products consistently, you may choose to consider a product containing added THC or a full-spectrum formula.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is there THC in CBDfx products?
CBDFx products made with full-spectrum CBD, like the Mixed Berry Full Spectrum CBD Gummies, contain trace amounts of THC (less than 0.3% THC by U.S. law), as it includes all the cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and other natural compounds found in the hemp plant. Other products include additional THC content but remain below the legal limit.
How much CBD should I take?
Dosage varies depending on the product and individual needs. CBDfx recommends starting with a smaller dose and gradually increasing it until you find what works best. Always consult a health care provider before incorporating CBD into your routine.
