The documents are rife with legal jargon, exclusions and caveats. And, if you’re not careful, you may miss the three or four lines that ultimately determine whether that rejection message is justified.
Blake emphasizes, “Obviously, things like HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical should be prioritized at the top of your coverage list. But it’s not just what’s covered, it’s how [it] is covered, and by whom.” For appliances and systems that aren’t covered, many of the best home warranty plans for condos offer add-ons at an additional monthly cost.
Roof leaks, pools, pumps, plumbing, electronics and some other household items are often excluded from a typical condo home warranty plan, so if you want such coverage, be sure to include it as part of your plan to protect your home.
