Harbour Hopper
The Harbour Hopper is one of the most iconic family activities in Halifax. The amphibious vehicle takes groups through the downtown core both on land and pops right into the harbour for a completely different perspective of the waterfront. The Atlantic Canada Aviation Museum is a quick drive from the downtown core, but it’s worth it. Families can check out things like vintage airplanes, helicopters, aircraft engines and more artifacts that played a role in shaping Canadian aviation history.
York Redoubt National Historic Site
The York Redoubt National Historic Site is a great option for families looking for a combination of history and sprawling outdoor space. The historic military fort overlooks the entrance to the Halifax Harbour and boasts old fortifications, historic artifacts, and unbeatable ocean views.
