I've just wrapped up 3 years at TikTok leading the STEM Feed across 130+ countries and multiple languages. I've had the opportunity to speak with education leaders and meet colleagues from around the world (visiting 12 countries in 3 years). It's been amazing to learn alongside some of the smartest and most ambitious people I've met. Now, I'm starting a new chapter at Google! I'm thrilled to learn and start digging into the work (and my dog is excited to be a Doogler 😊 ). Thanks to the Google team for the new opportunity!

In retrospect, starting a recruiting business in this market was a bit crazy, but I am so incredibly proud to be a self-funded, independent recruiter. I would not have been able to navigate the ups and downs without my fiancé, family, friends, and clients. I would like to thank a few (many) people - you know who you are! 🙂 To my long-term clients, thank you for encouraging me to take this step and supporting me along the way! I am so grateful for every check-in call, lunch, referral, and word of encouragement. To my industry friends, thank you for fielding my questions, pointing me in the right direction, and providing helpful advice as I navigate new challenges. To my newer clients, thank you for taking a chance on a solopreneur and trusting in me to support your teams. I am so grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with you! As a UX researcher, recruitment is usually the messiest part of any study. Spreadsheets for the roster. Email threads for outreach. A separate doc for screener logic. A calendar that never quite matches reality. Somewhere in that chaos, a great participant slips through the cracks. So I built Recruitment Desk: a tool that tracks the entire recruitment pipeline in one place: Confirming criteria and sample size with stakeholders → Defining screener questions with termination qualifications → Ranking eligible participants by fit, automatically flagging anyone who doesn't meet criteria → Tracking outreach, responses, and confirmed interview times → Managing NDA status → A calendar view of confirmed sessions, color-coded by participant segment The part I'm most excited to share: I built this entirely by describing what I needed in plain English to an AI assistant (Claude). No engineering background required. Just a clear sense of the workflow, a lot of iteration, and knowing what "done" actually looks like for the problem I was solving. This journey began in late 2025 with more than 30,000 contestants from around the world. Now, only 26 of us remain. I’ll compete in the Semifinals on August 20 in Vancouver, Canada. If I advance, I’ll speak in the Finals on August 21 for the chance to become the next World Champion of Public Speaking. Wish me luck!
