Luis Daniel Soto Maldonado reposted thisLuis Daniel Soto Maldonado reposted thisHarvard found a WEIRD bias in generative AI. We love comparing AI to "human" performance. But Harvard researchers asked a critical question: "Which humans exactly?" Humans aren't all the same. We have different thinking styles, values, moral frameworks, and ways of solving problems. Harvard tested GPT against 94k+ people across 65 countries. They found our “global” AI thinks like a 25-year-old American software engineer. The problem has a name: WEIRD bias → Western → Educated → Industrialized → Rich → Democratic So every time you ask AI about “people,” you’re really getting: ▪️ Suburban mindsets in Ethiopia ▪️ US shopping habits in India ▪️ Western values in Jordan And this isn’t just an academic issue. It shapes: ☑ Customer insights ☑ Market research ☑ Global strategy Internet content disproportionately comes from developed countries. I understand the problem better than most. I lived in Asia and Africa, and I know those regions are very different than the US or Europe. Bias today compounds into bigger decision-making errors tomorrow. For AI to be effective, data diversity isn’t optional. It’s not about more data. It's about different data. It highlights the wide-ranging industries I’ve worked with, the global impact of Microsoft’s products, and the company’s remarkable transformation from a software leader to a cloud and AI powerhouse. At its core, it’s a celebration of growth, passion, and the privilege of shaping technology used by hundreds of millions worldwide.Celebrating 25 Years at Microsoft: A Journey of Growth and PassionCelebrating 25 Years at Microsoft: A Journey of Growth and PassionJuan Balmori

Luis Daniel Soto Maldonado liked thisThanks, Majd Radi! Your post reminds me of my mission. I’m on the highway to democratize cyber-security, cruising on Kreissontech 21, my vehicle. Our go-to-market strategy focuses on BRICS+ countries. I see that Western cyber-security is unethically resisting change. Global South nations do not have to replicate such a model. Our business model is technology transfer services. That means we want to share business opportunities with those ready to embrace the future of cyber-security. Let’s talk about it.Luis Daniel Soto Maldonado liked thisBill Gates says AI will replace doctors and teachers. We answer: in 10 years, AI will have already replaced billionaires. Because billionaires are an artifact of scarcity, leverage, and asymmetry. AI is the great symmetry machine: compressing expertise, collapsing hierarchies, distributing power like packets across the network. Teachers won’t disappear — their role will be amplified. Doctors won’t vanish — their judgment will be sharpened. But the monopoly of wealth creation, the old feudal crown of billionaires, that will dissolve. When knowledge becomes agentic, when value is authenticated at the edge, when proofs travel faster than capital — the billionaire becomes the obsolete profession. That is Radium’s wager. That is Web 4.0. Not man replaced by machine, but monopoly replaced by multiplicity.

Luis Daniel Soto Maldonado liked thisLuis Daniel Soto Maldonado liked thisMost executives fall in love with their own decks, memos, or pitches. But buyers, investors, or partners don’t read with rose-colored glasses... they look for holes. That’s why I test everything I create with one of my favorite AI prompts: “Give me a Net Promoter Score from the perspective of a skeptical buyer.” I call my ChatGPT “Nigel,” and when I send him a pitch, website, or proposal, he doesn’t flatter me. He gives me a score and then explains why. That’s GOLD. Why? 1. It stress-tests your work before it’s in the wild, forcing AI to play the skeptic so you catch weak spots early. 2. It turns AI into a focus group of one by giving you a clear metric (NPS) plus the reasoning behind it. 3. It saves time and money. Instead of running surveys or paying consultants, you get 80% of the insight instantly. 4. And it sharpens decision-making, helping you avoid both FOMO (“I need to send this out now!”) and FOBO (“I need 10 more edits”). I’ve found that this simple practice makes my documents more convincing, detailed, and effective. It’s become one of my go-to tools as a speaker, investor, and entrepreneur. Next time you’re finalizing something important, try it. Ask: “What would a skeptical buyer think?” You might be surprised by what you learn. #AIinWork #DecisionMaking #FOMO

Luis Daniel Soto Maldonado liked thisLuis Daniel Soto Maldonado liked thisHear me out… In 5 years, every high-performing team will have an engineer doing a "non-engineering" job. We just hired an engineer to do marketing for us because he has insanely good systems thinking, is capable of stitching together data from disparate systems, and can use AI at a scale to generate content marketing. I believe AI will infiltrate every part of our modern work stack - analytics, content creation, design, product, etc. As that occurs, engineers who can easily understand complex systems, connect them, and then leverage AI in a more powerful way may be more valuable. The companies that figure this out first will dominate their markets. They'll invest in teaching their engineers business skills rather than teaching business people technical skills. They'll build teams where engineering thinking permeates every decision. Take GTM Engineering for example. This is a new role that I posted about recently. It’s essentially Revenue Operations but with modern AI tools. It requires significant cross-platform experience; you need to be able to take Clay, Attio, LinkedIn, Email, and other outbound sales tools and connect them together to create a superpowered go-to-market effort for your company. Of course this adds to my main premise that as engineers upskill on AI, they’ll build more and have more opportunities for products they can build which will inherently make AI-powered engineers far more useful than ever before. This is just a theory. I came up with it yesterday while talking to Howie Xu at an event. Genuinely curious what you think: will an engineering background be more or less valuable in the future? #AIinWork

True leaders inspire, cultivate capability, and create environments where everyone can thrive. John Doyle is one of those leaders, and this month we’re celebrating a milestone in his career - 20 years at Microsoft! I’ve had the privilege of working with John for several of those years, and I’m thrilled that our paths have converged once again. He’s an architect and innovator behind the scenes, but what stands out most is his unwavering commitment to empowering those around him. Please join me in congratulating John on two decades at Microsoft and countless contributions to our culture and teams!
