Parth Sethi shared thisIf you are like me, you want to periodically catch up on news related to companies in your investment portfolio, but haven’t found an easy way to do so. Robinhood has News digests but its interface is not optimized for you to quickly scan news across many companies; the app is trying to do many other jobs. So, I built Peek app (https://peekapp.dev). It’s a simple stock news aggregator app for long-term retail investors - it’ll help you catch up on things like product launches, partnerships, analyst price target changes, etc. for the companies in your portfolio. It’s not meant for trading. I built it using Vercel V0 for design, Cursor for vibe coding, Firebase for database management and auth, Vercel for deployment, Gemini 2.5 Flash for generating Stock summaries, and FMP API for getting reliable stocks news and analyst price targets. You can sign-in using your Google account, add stocks that you have invested in and the ones you are tracking (wishlist), and Peek will create a feed of stock news summaries for you. It's a progressive web app; you can add it as a bookmark to your Homescreen. My next step is to move beyond "spot checks" and figure out proper evals for stock summaries, and also to submit the app to the App Store. Feedback welcome! #vibecoding

My journey at Google was short but I did have a great learning experience. I feel grateful to have the opportunity to work with so many amazingly talented and humble people. To my MATI team and Google colleagues, we didn’t get the chance to say goodbye, but I firmly believe that this world is a small place, and our path will cross again in future, please keep in touch. Personally, I took the weekend to reflect on the news and remain hopeful for the future. I am looking for opportunities in Merger & Acquisition/Divestiture, Digital/IT Strategy, Business Transformation, Technology Modernization roles, please reach out in case you or your company is hiring for this skillset. Parth Sethi liked thisParth Sethi liked thisadaption signed the Open Weights and American AI Leadership letter. The safety argument against open weights is backwards. Linux is secure because anyone can inspect it. The encryption protecting your bank account is public by design. This pattern shows up everywhere: the most trusted systems are often the ones that can be inspected, tested, and improved by the broader community. Closed models aren't safe because they're hidden. They can still fail, be exploited, or be misused. Concentrating AI into a handful of closed models just creates a handful of single points of failure. Open weights let everyone find weaknesses and make models stronger. That's how we have built secure systems for decades. AI shouldn't be different.

Parth Sethi liked thisParth Sethi liked thisToday Scale AI announced that I'm joining as CEO on August 10. AI will transform how the world's most important companies and institutions operate. But making these systems reliable enough to trust with critical work remains one of the industry's biggest challenges. Company after company gets an AI model to an impressive demo but stalls long before it reaches real decisions in production. Closing that gap is the work, and it's the problem Scale exists to solve. Scale has a rare vantage point. It works with the world's leading AI labs to push the frontier forward, while helping enterprises and governments deploy AI in the real world. Through its data, applications and evaluation work, Scale helps answer the question that increasingly matters: does the technology actually work? Leaving Google Cloud is hard. It's a remarkable team doing consequential work, and I'm grateful to Thomas Kurian and every Googler I’ve had the privilege to work with. I'm cheering for you. To the Scale board, thank you for the trust. To Alexandr Wang, Jason Droege and the Scale team: you've created something special. I'm going to spend my first weeks listening. I’m excited to build with you.

Parth Sethi liked thisParth Sethi liked thisMilind Soman sat across from me and said something about my shoes and my chair I have not stopped thinking about. I was at a private event with Milind Soman last weekend, hosted by BHIVE, a company I advise. Congratulations to Shesh Rao Paplikar and Ravindra M.K. on launching their new Platinum Plus campus at Phoenix Asia Towers, Hebbal, the reason we were all there in the first place. He said shoes and chairs are the two worst inventions humans have ever made, and this is not the first time he has said it in public. → Shoes break our connection to the ground, the same connection our body needs for balance and strength → Chairs with back support let our core switch off, instead of holding up our own spine He called the modern office chair a disease creating contraption, and said the only healthy way to sit is on the ground, because that keeps the core and back strong. He wore shoes for 40 years before he ran fully barefoot for the first time, and realized even 3mm of rubber sole was getting in the way. I kept thinking about how normal both these things feel to us. 📍 We put shoes on our kids before they can even walk properly on their own. 📍 We hand teenagers a chair, a laptop, and a full school day of sitting, and call it education. 📍 Bodies that should be running, climbing, and squatting are folding into chairs by the age of six. This is not only an adult problem anymore. We are raising a generation that will never learn to move the way their bodies were built. We built entire industries to make life more comfortable, and in the process, we engineered our own bodies out of the way they were meant to move . If two ordinary objects can work against us this much, imagine what else we have accepted without ever questioning it. Do you sit on a chair all day without ever questioning what it is doing to your body?

From the beginning, it’s been clear that Depop has built something special – a marketplace with a strong community and a brand that resonates with the next generation of buyers and sellers. It’s a natural fit with eBay and our vision for the future of recommerce. Recently, I got to spend some time with the Depop team in London. What stood out most was the team’s creativity, the strength and passion of the Depop community, and the clear sense of purpose behind what they’re building. As we start this next chapter together, our focus is simple: preserve what makes Depop’s marketplace unique while helping the business grow and reach even more customers around the world. Together, we have an opportunity to shape the future of circular fashion and create even more opportunities for our buyers, sellers, and global community.

Parth Sethi liked thisParth Sethi liked thisAs we all workshop the direction of the PM function, a story Kevin Yien of Stripe shared on the latest Skip Podcast episode resonated with me. Worth resharing. Kevin came up a builder, but as he moved into becoming an executive, he'd naturally distanced himself from the code and the joy of being hands-on. So when Stripe gave PMs its internal coding agent, he fell down the rabbit hole: spot a bug, drop a screenshot into Slack, and a pull request comes back. "I got high on just shipping a bunch of fixes." Hilariously, his engineering partner asked him: why? I can trigger fifty agents to fix all of those. What I need from you is the five-degree directional shift we have to make as a business over the next three years. What I took away: the future of PM isn't becoming an engineering knockoff. It's using the tools to accelerate your strategic thinking and contributions — the part of the job that was always yours. Clip below.

Amazon has always been more than a retailer to me. It started as a better way to buy books. Then became the store for everything. Then the delivery engine. Then groceries. But its most transformative move? Becoming the invisible infrastructure that powers much of the digital world. AWS opened the door for builders - giving startups, engineers, and creators affordable tools to scale globally without needing to own a server room. It made software more accessible. It made remote work real. So when Amazon posts its strongest quarterly in recent memory and the stock drops 8%, I don’t just check Q2 earnings. I ask: What’s the market missing about the long game? Let’s unpack the tension between long-term vision and short-term expectations 👇 1. Growth re-accelerated across the board - Net Sales: $167.7B (+13.3% YoY, +8% QoQ) - AWS Revenue: $30.9B (+17.5%) - AWS Backlog: $189B (+20%) - Ad Revenue: $15.7B (+22%) - Prime Members: 220M+ (+9%) Momentum is picking up, and across multiple verticals. 2. Margins improved meaningfully - AWS Op Income: $10.2B (+10%) - Operating Income: $19.2B (+31%) - Operating Margin: 11.4% (vs 9.9% YoY) - North America: $7.5B (+47%) - International: $1.5B (up 5x YoY) Efficiency + high-margin segments (AWS + Ads) are lifting profitability. 3. But the cash flow picture is nuanced - Operating Cash Flow: $22.3B (+12%) - Free Cash Flow (TTM): $18.2B (↓66%) - CapEx: $31.4B in Q2 (+90% YoY) Amazon is still deep in its 2023–2025 CapEx cycle, heavily weighted toward AI infrastructure. This phase isn’t about returns - it’s about laying rails for the decade ahead. 4. Q3 Guidance: Disciplined, not euphoric - Q3 Sales: $174B–$179.5B (midpoint +11% YoY) - Q3 Op Income: $15.5B–$20.5B → Midpoint = just +3% YoY → Low end = below last year But the Street wanted a bolder ROI signal from all the AI spend. 5. Why did the stock fall? Because markets move on expectations, not just earnings. The lack of near-term clarity on AI monetization and free cash flow recovery spooked investors. Amazon didn’t pivot to please. They stayed the course. 6. What I’m watching - AWS margin stabilization - Ad revenue scalability - FCF rebound by 2026 - AI infrastructure turning into monetized capability - Competitive positioning vs Azure + Google Cloud 7. Valuation Snapshot - 2025 P/E: ~31–32x - 2026 P/E: ~26–28x - EPS growth: ~20% CAGR - PEG: ~1.5 (vs MSFT ~2.0, AAPL ~3.0) Fairly priced for those with a long-term view! Summary Amazon has done this before. E-commerce. Logistics. AWS. They plant early. They harvest later. They don’t chase headlines. They build foundations. And now, they’re doing it again - with AI and global cloud infrastructure at the center. They’re playing the long game. Again. #Amazon #AWS #Earnings #AI #Cloud #Investing #GrowthStocks #Valuation #Tech

Launching: Chat with Priyank (beta) today on https://priyank.tech A few weeks ago, I launched priyank.tech as a single home for my work, projects, and notes. Today I’m adding a faster way to get to the signal: Skip the scrolling, ask. “Chat with Priyank” answers questions about my projects, views, and skills by pulling the most relevant context and giving you a concise, useful response. What’s under the hood (and why): - Human‑verified access - Conversations start only after the system knows it’s interacting with a person, not a bot. - Scope & guardrails - It only answers questions about me. When a query is out of scope or uncertain, it responds with a polite “I don’t know.” - Context engineering first (no RAG, yet!) - An analysis by industry veterans suggested that GPT-5 class models can correctly use ~85% of the provided context. I want to see how far careful, prompt, and context design can go before adding retrieval. I’ll evaluate this over the next few days and decide before graduating from beta. - Prompt caching enabled - To keep costs under control (and responses snappy), repeat prompts and shared context are cached. - Early memory layer - A lightweight short-term memory layer powers more personal, consistent answers across sessions. Try it on: https://priyank.tech If it’s your first visit, do subscribe to my newsletter—I’ll share build notes, decisions, and lessons learned there. Starter prompts: “Tell me about your AI and Generative AI expertise “How can you help me become an AI first organization?” Feedback is welcome, especially edge cases and failure modes. #AI #product #buildinpublic #LLM

Excited to share that the idea pitch that Chinta SriVishnu Koushik and I submitted for Amazon Global ProdCon 2026 has been selected for the final presentation. Our session, "25% Team. 125% Targets. How AI Changed the Way We Build", focuses on a challenge many teams are navigating today: delivering ambitious business outcomes with leaner resources. As part of the session, we'll share real-life examples of how AI became a force multiplier for our team—helping engineers ramp up faster, reducing execution overhead, enabling better product and technical tradeoffs, and supporting continued improvements in purchase conversion despite operating with a fraction of our original team capacity. Looking forward to sharing our learnings and hearing how others are leveraging AI to rethink the way products are built and scaled. #Amazon #AI #ProductManagement #Innovation #SoftwareEngineering #ProductLeadership #GenerativeAI

Consumers are speaking, questioning, and deciding in the wild. Everyday. Everywhere. On Everything. When insight systems are designed to understand context, emotion, and trade-offs together, clarity emerges well before the market consensus does. At BioBrain, we process millions of unprompted UGC signals through our proprietary Web Intelligence Engine which combines large-scale digital listening, AI-led narrative clustering, and rigorous signal filtration to isolate decision-grade meaning. Our models don’t just track sentiment. They map belief systems, credibility filters, ethical thresholds, and purchase trade-offs as they form in real time. Authentic, deep, consumer-grade insights. This is how we see the beauty category reorganising itself, away from claims and toward proof, coherence, and restraint, long before these shifts harden into demand curves. #BioBrain #Insights #research #beauty
