What if the way you tell your story is the reason you don’t get remembered in a job interview? 🙃 According to communications expert Matt Abrahams, hiring managers remember specifics and stories — not vague skills. Saying “I’m great at leading teams” won’t stick. But sharing the story of how you rallied 12 engineers overnight to save a product launch just might. Concrete detail + storytelling = memorability. That’s how you shift from being a candidate they interviewed to the candidate they hire. 💡 If you’re job searching, what’s one specific story you’d use to show your value in action? Share it in the comments - we might help each other sharpen our interview answers. ▶️Want more tips on how to answer interview questions with confidence? • AI gives us access to seemingly endless knowledge. But can it give us wisdom? 🤔 That’s the question best-selling author and global leader in well-being Deepak Chopra ponders when asked about the potential harms of AI. “Remember, AI doesn't have intentionality, AI doesn't have understanding and AI doesn't have subjectivity or consciousness,” Deepak says. “It's a tool.” That means the impact of AI depends on how we choose to apply it, regulate it, and question it. Deepak says a great way to confront our concerns about AI is to ask it directly.  The answers can provide insight into how the technology works, explain its limitations, and even offer strategies for how to mitigate risk. ✨What’s the most surprising way you’ve used AI? Let us know in the comments below.

  • AI is quickly becoming a powerful ally in the job search — but how you use it matters. Think of AI as a coach, not a shortcut. It can help you explore new industries, analyze job ads, refine resumes and practice interviewing. But it can’t replace authentic networking, thoughtful applications or the career decision only you can make. To make the most of AI as you job hunt, we’ve put together clear do’s and don’ts from LinkedIn career expert Andrew Seaman. ✅ Use it to research roles, polish your LinkedIn profile and strengthen your applications ❌ Don’t rely on it to mass-apply for jobs, generate generic materials or make decisions for you How are you using AI to power your job search? • Ever stared down a to-do list so packed it felt impossible? ✍️ Most productivity advice promises that with enough hacks and hustle, you can get it all done. But Oliver Burkeman, productivity expert and the bestselling author of ‘Four Thousand Weeks,’ argues for a more realistic approach. During a jam-packed week as a journalist, Oliver had an epiphany: it’s not that he was failing at productivity; it’s that his to-do list was impossible to begin with. That acknowledgement was liberating. By letting go of the fantasy of doing it all, he could finally focus on the items on his list that mattered most. “It’s really hard to beat yourself up for doing something that you’ve realized is literally completely impossible,” Oliver says. So, with Oliver’s permission, go cut some things from your to-do list and see how liberating it feels.

  • What started as a disruptive idea — renting clothes others had worn — has transformed into a force shaping the mainstream fashion economy. Jennifer Hyman, CEO and co-founder of Rent The Runway, reflects on 15 years of innovation, resilience, and redefining how we think about fashion. In this episode of This Is Working with LinkedIn Editor in Chief Daniel Roth, Hyman shares how the company weathered pandemic-induced setbacks, restructured its debt, and reignited growth by doubling down on what matters most: the customer. Her realization? “We’re a fashion company.” By prioritizing inventory — the backbone of brand loyalty — over tech bells and whistles, Rent the Runway unlocked new use cases for subscribers and rekindled its entrepreneurial spirit. For Hyman, simple principles like listening to customers, focusing on core strengths, and staying connected to both strategy and operations drive success. 💡 What’s one lesson in prioritization or resilience you’ve applied in your business?💡 Share your thoughts below!

  • Don’t wait on others to make your dream a reality. When Amaurys Grullon started Bronx Native, an apparel company that aims to celebrate the Bronx with pride, he reached out to his favorite brands to try and collaborate. “There was one particular brand… we looked up to, we loved them… They didn't want to collaborate with us. I was heartbroken.” But after the initial heartbreak he got right back to work, motivated to grow the company without the collaboration. “We got something here. We have to dive in and just put our all into this and we're gonna make it work.” Seven years later, Bronx Native has worked with everyone from Cardi B to Nike, but Amaurys credits their success to a shift in mindset. “ Everything changed when I stopped expecting others to help us create our dream. I had to put a different lens on, have tunnel vision, apply myself, create our own lane, forget about everybody else, and just make it happen.” How have you shifted your mindset since first starting your small business? Share your approach below. ⬇️ 🎥 Watch the full episode of #Catalyst featuring Amaurys Grullon here: https://lnkd.in/e6rxx-MM
