Agent Mode: updates 🚀 We’ve been making major improvements to Agent Mode over the past few months — focused on reliability, responsiveness, and usability. Here’s what’s new: ⚡ Performance & Reliability • Clearer progress indicators, so you always know what’s happening • Faster responses with better prompt caching 📁 Working Set & File Management • Hidden when empty + shows file count only when relevant • Deleted files now show in cumulative diff with restore option • Auto-cleanup of unaccepted files • Working set available outside Agent Mode 🧠 Prompting & Planning • Updated prompt formatting for GPT-5 models • Early test of a new planning tool to break down complex requests into trackable steps (big gains on multistep tasks!) 🛠️ Build & Tool Control • Option to disable automatic builds — take manual control from the tools menu 🗄️ General Fixes • More reliable cancel behavior • Fewer stalls or hangs during tool execution If you haven’t tried Agent Mode in a while, now’s the time.
