
Streaming details of Telugu movie Lenin
The wait for the OTT release is almost over. Lenin will begin streaming on ZEE5 from August 7. The platform has acquired the film's post-theatrical streaming rights, allowing viewers to watch the Telugu action drama from the comfort of their homes.Given the film's impressive performance in theatres, it is expected to attract strong viewership on the streaming platform as well. Lenin proved to be a turning point in Akhil Akkineni's career. The rural action drama helped the actor bounce back after the commercial failure of Agent and emerged as the highest-grossing film of his career.
The film stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead opposite Akhil. The supporting cast includes Shivaji, Pramod Panju, Eeswari Rao, Sunil, Ramki and Brahmaji, all of whom play important roles in the story.

The film is directed by Murali Kishor Abburu and produced by Naga Vamsi and Nagarjuna under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios' Manam Enterprises. The music has been composed by Thaman, whose soundtrack adds to the film's emotional and action-packed moments.Set in 1976, Lenin takes place in the fictional village of Srirampuram in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district. The story unfolds against the backdrop of the annual Bharatham Jatara, a traditional festival dedicated to Goddess Draupadi.
The film follows Lenin, who returns to his village after serving a prison sentence. Instead of receiving a warm welcome, he discovers that the people he once trusted have turned against him. As the story progresses, it travels back in time to reveal the incidents that transformed him into a man feared by many.
Lenin's box office performance
Lenin enjoyed a successful run at the box office before making its way to OTT. The film has collected Rs 48.84 crore net in India after 20 days in theatres.Although its collections have slowed following the release of newer films and reduced screen count, the movie is now just Rs 1.16 crore away from reaching the Rs 50 crore mark at the Indian box office. If it achieves the milestone, Lenin will become Akhil Akkineni's first film to cross the Rs 50 crore net mark in India, making it another significant achievement in the actor's career.
The film also remains in the race to finish among the highest-grossing Telugu films of 2026, highlighting its strong theatrical performance despite increasing competition.
