One of the team members own the website and we took the task of coming as a team and taking ownership of the new product features. We presented project proposal, and came up with a SMART scope. I came in as a SME to create the functional and non-functional requirements, created use case diagrams and message sequence diagrams.
We finished with new test cases and tested the new features, tracked bugs using Bugzilla. The product features were rolled out well before time, in the defined budget with zero defects till date.
With these new features, the website got a traffic increase of over 60% and 300 tutors joined within 6 months of the product feature roll-out.Other creatorsSee project -

► Analyzed the IoT breaches happened in last four years in IoT devices in domains like Home Automation, Security, Health Care, Automotive sectors.
► Analyzed major security threat agents, attack vectors and vulnerabilities in the IoT ecosystem leading to the breaches.
► Comparing the present day vulnerabilities with the security standard proposed by IEEE and OWASP for IoT and thereby predicting future threats.
► Recommendations for the investment in mitigating controls, remedial steps for the most vulnerable areas in IoT infrastructure (Both in Information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) in the IOT)Other creators -
Social Anxiety Disorder: A web based database approach for hospitals
Over 15 million Americans suffer from Social Disorder Anxiety (SAD) and this is quite common in the teenagers. We created a portal to address such problems and reach out to the right counselor/physician. The patient can use this portal and can report his illness based on simple ten questions, the portal uses its intelligence to guide the teenager to the right counselor.
The medical history is also updated in the portal. We used Microsoft Visio and Oracle SQL developer for the project. The medical history is also updated in the portal. We used Microsoft Visio and Oracle SQL developer for the project. The portal can be extended to create a mobile app, and can also work well with the healthcare wearables.Other creators -
DDoS Simulation on a Peer to Peer Network Ring

The concept of DDoS came into mind after carefully understanding the security reports of world’s leading information security companies: Arbor Networks and Akamai Technologies. We attended a lot of webinars conducted by BrightTalk and Arbor Networks to understand the industry viewpoint DDoS types and the prevention mechanisms as well.

We attended a lot of webinars conducted by BrightTalk and Arbor Networks to understand the industry viewpoint DDoS types and the prevention mechanisms as well.
We studied in detail a paper ‘Exploiting P2P Systems for DDoS Attacks’ by Naoum Naoumov and Keith Ross, which talks of simulation and detection of DDoS on a peer to peer network using Overnet which is a DHT-based file sharing system. With more than one million concurrently active peers, Overnet is probably the largest DHT deployed to date. It is also a core component of eDonkey, which generates today more traffic than any other content-distribution system, including BitTorrent.
We took the approach to peersim and did our simulation on the software introduced to us in the class. Hence we added our novelty to it. Going forward we decided to use all the concepts that we learnt in the class. We shortlisted chord protocol after carefully examining the paper ‘Chord: A Scalable Peer-to-peer Lookup Protocol for Internet Applications’ by Ion Stoicay, Robert Morrisz, David Liben-Nowellz. Also we brought in the concepts of indexing, key-value pairs and the routing tables to the idea and applied the problem on to these concepts. We used Poisoning Indexes and poisoning routing tables approach in this project.
