    📌 This morning I attended half of the Pinterest Presents live event, and it was a masterclass in modern marketing to marketers. 📍 There was an entire comedy narrative around Jameela Jamil as 'Agent Red' not being invited to speak at the event, with her sidekicks representing media, growth and content, which provided a really fun illustration of the different elements Pinterest offers. Marketers are humans, and will appreciate being marketed to in an entertaining way! 📌 HUGE Gen Z engagement. Like, unreal...who knew that's where they were all hanging out!? Gen Z has become a bit of a trope in marketing, but the stats were impressive - half their users are now Gen Z and a substantial portion of the generation (I think it was 39%) now search using Pinterest. 📍 Massive respect for their refreshing approach to the belief that you can be a social media company and not exist purely to mine your users' data from their anxiety riddled corpses. Genuinely, under 16s only have access to private profiles. Not just 'by default'. AI is being flagged and screened for. ⭐️ Bonus: "Pinterest rolls out in-app prompt to discourage phone distractions in UK schools" Actions, not words. 📌 They're using AI to get a clear appreciation for users' aesthetics and tastes, meaning brands can tailor and target exactly the audience whose curated feed they fit neatly within. 📍 For paid, there's a clear focus on conversion, improving shopping tools. I'm yet to test this but hit me up if you have experience of this in action. Overall it made me rethink Pinterest's value for brands, what do you think?

    Just wrapped up a fantastic couple of days in London with the Pinterest team, connecting in person and diving into some of the incredible work happening on the ground. A highlight was participating in Pinterest’s Pinvision Leadership Forum, where we bring together top advertising minds to discuss the ideas and innovations shaping our industry and impacting our partners and users. I loved getting to share how Pinterest is helping to transform discovery, from traditional search to dynamic, multimodal AI-powered experiences. Our goal? To help people not just find what they’re looking for, but to truly uncover what inspires them. The UK continues to be a key part of Pinterest’s international growth, and getting to spend time with our global team is always one of my favorite parts of the job!
