Spotify is the essential daily companion for fans. That’s why your ads work harder here—with more moments to reach your audience, more attention paid to your message, and more success across the funnel.
Some recent thoughts I collated for Spotify Advertising.
The best audio ads aren't the ones that cram in the most information. They're the ones that make people feel something. We speak with our partners all the time about a few creative principles that produce great audio creative and drive stronger results.
If you want audio ads that are remembered, not just heard, put these to work on your next campaign.
bigbasket’s Diwali campaign is proof that the best marketing doesn't interrupt culture, it shows up in the moments people already love and celebrate.
During Diwali, bigbasket met listeners across Spotify's festive playlists with a multi-format campaign featuring playlist takeovers, audio, and video ads that reinforced bigbasket’s promise of speed and reliability, delivering festival essentials in less than 10 minutes.
The result? The campaign reached 18M+ listeners in 13 days and drove strong consideration with 63% of exposed listeners reporting they were likely to purchase, alongside lifts in ad recall and top-of-mind awareness.

Standing out in a crowded EV market isn't easy. Renault found a different way: sound 🏎️⚡
To launch the R4 E-Tech Electric in Spain, Renault Group and OMD leveraged Google’s Display & Video 360 programmatic engine alongside Spotify Advertising’s first-party data to scale biddable audio nationwide. Through a targeted approach they precisely reached listeners during workouts, focus hours, parenting moments, or daily commutes.
By showing up at the perfect time, the campaign cut through the noise to drive an 11-point increase in ad recall and a 7-point rise in message association.

In our latest episode of Creative Lab Presents, Simon Jenkins sits down with Ben Drury, the CEO and co-founder of Yoto to talk about why he's betting on audio in a screen-obsessed world, and what brands can learn from a product that millions of kids and parents genuinely love.
We chat about:
- Why audio is the one form of media that doesn't "zombify" children
- How nearly three decades in music and tech shaped his conviction in the power of listening
- Why Yoto is investing more in human-produced audio at a time when everyone else is racing toward AI
- The case that audio is still fundamentally undervalued by brands, and what that means for advertisers
Ben's journey spans publishing the UK charts as a student, an acquisition at 23, and the moment a pram with a built-in iPad holder stopped him in his tracks. It's a conversation about intentional design, the untapped potential of audio, and why the best content earns attention rather than stealing it.

One of our favorite moments from Spotify's new “Culture Next: The Fan Edit report”? Jenny Haggard's take on taste.
As AI gets better at predicting what we might like, Jenny points out that human discernment is only going to matter more. AI can guess, but it can’t explain why you reached for that outfit today instead of another, or why that one song just felt right. That instinct is deeply, wonderfully human, and it’s about to get a lot more interesting to brands.
Huge shoutout to Jenny and the Spotify Advertising team for the discussion! We loved this one. More where it came from in our latest episode below.
