Brave Movement reposted this
✨ Thank you to Queen Silvia of Sweden World Childhood Foundation USA and all the inspiring panelists Åsa Regnér, Isata Mahoi , UN SRSG on Violence Against Children, Lucie Cluver, Kunalika Gautam Cathi Russell UNICEF I had the honor of joining to reaffirm the centrality of investing in children and upholding their rights, even amidst competing global priorities. At the heart of it all, this comes down to political will. We must choose—consciously and consistently—to ensure every child is healthy, educated, and safe. That is the foundation of a just and sustainable future. 🌎 Save the Children International Together for Girls Brave Movement

💜 Brave member Rhiannon-Faye McDonald spoke at this youth consultation on online safety ahead of the #G20SouthAfrica! ✊ Leading up to the conference, we'll be calling on governments to take urgent action to keep children #SafeOnline! "We need to know our rights online, safety shouldn't lie in the hands of children" Rhiannon-Faye McDonald Children shouldn’t carry the heavy responsibility of keeping themselves safe online. That duty rests with us adults, policymakers, educators, and tech leaders to design safer platforms, enforce stronger protections, and equip young people with the tools they need to thrive digitally. Online safety is essential because the risks are real: from cyberbullying to misinformation and exploitation, children and youth are often the first to be targeted. Without strong safeguards, the same spaces meant for learning, creativity, and connection can become sources of harm. Protecting young people online means protecting their rights, their well-being, and their future. As today’s youth gather for digital safety training ahead of the G20, we’re reminded that safeguarding the digital world is not optional. It’s a shared responsibility and when we get it right, every child benefits. #DigitalSafety #YouthVoices #ChildOnlineSafety #G20 #Leadership Plan International Kenya Equality Now ECPAT International Brave Movement Centre for Information Resilience

🚨 Apple may be innovating with new products, but it’s still falling behind on protecting children from online sexual abuse. This year, Brave Movement advocates, including survivor leader Tom Krumins, joined Heat Initiative and a large group of allies 💪 at the launch of the iPhone 17. Together, they called on Apple to put child safety first and took their message directly to CEO Tim Cook. 📢 The pressure is growing. Tech companies must act now to create a safer digital world for every child! #ViolenceIsPreventable #BeBrave #EndChildhoodSexualViolence
