Mission 'Onward and Upward' delivered our first satellites to orbit. But this mission was never about a single launch. We're building the foundation for reliable, scalable access to space, enabling the next generation of missions, technologies and businesses, and giving Europe independent access to the infrastructure that modern security and innovation depend on. One launch is a milestone. This is just the beginning.

The next generation of space capability won't be built by one company alone. From a university project to Continental Europe’s first commercial launch company to successfully deliver satellites to orbit, Isar Aerospace has become one of Europe’s most critical space assets. Together with the team, Isar Aerospace co-founders Josef Fleischmann and Daniel Metzler developed Spectrum from scratch into an orbit-ready launch vehicle at the speed the market demands. Now Co-Founder Josef Fleischmann is handing over his operational responsibilities at Isar Aerospace to found Bavaria Instruments, a company focused on developing in-orbit computing technologies. Can Araz, with Isar Aerospace since its founding and most recently Vice President ‘Spectrum’, will assume his responsibilities as Chief Technology Officer. Patrick Adcock, Vice President Global Operations, will lead the continued scaling of production. Josef will remain closely connected to Isar Aerospace. As COO and CTO Josef was instrumental in contributing to the company’s engineering and production capabilities. From the first sketches to launch hardware, factories, and launch operations, he has left his mark across Isar Aerospace and the European space ecosystem. Thank you, Josef, for everything. First payloads delivered. But this is just the start. Access to orbit is a strategic capability for governments and businesses alike. Together with SEOPS, we're giving customers greater confidence and flexibility in planning future missions. For eight years, people thought we're crazy. Yet against all odds we managed to bring a rockstar team together, convince customers, raise the capital, build the infrastructure and design, build and launch rockets. Out of Europe, for civilization. Finally, we successfully reached orbit and deployed five satellites for our customers. The first time ever from continental European soil. I remember the first meeting I had with Thomas Oehl who challenged us. "Building rocket engines is not a VC case, can you build the full rocket?". I went home that day and googled "What is a VC case?". All things start small. Thank you for challenging us to think much bigger and believing in us. Tommy believed early in what we could do alongside Bulent Altan who we met at the SpaceX parking lot while competing in the SpaceX Hyperloop challenges with my Cofounder Josef Fleischmann. "Why don't you guys build a European SpaceX?". Luckily I was naive enough to believe it's possible and dared to step into those footsteps. There are many people who contributed to this milestone, many more than I can mention. First and foremost our own team at Isar Aerospace. I'm incredibly proud to be working with relentless human beings who push through difficulties and setbacks. What culminated in a 1-hour flight until payload deployment has been in the making for eight years. You have demonstrated incredible resilience especially throughout the last months, and it paid off big time. Personally, I want to thank Bulent Altan and Dr. Klaus Hommels, who have dedicated more time and effort than I could ever wish for. As a founder, it is invaluable to be surrounded by companions who have your back, and who challenge you to become better. Companions who believe in you and support your mission relentlessly, whatever it takes. Companions you can call at 4am and get on a plane to solve problems together. This is just one milestone, albeit a big one, that we cross off the list. Now the really fun part starts.

Mission Success for 'Onward and Upward' All customer payloads were successfully released in orbit. Most of the satellites have already established contact and begun on-orbit operations. On board: CubeSats from Technische Universität Berlin, Univerza v Mariboru / University of Maribor, EnduroSat, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and TU Wien Space Team, and a technology demonstration from Dcubed, which successfully completed its mission objectives. All selected through the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V. at DLR's Microlauncher Competition and supported through European Space Agency - ESA Boost! Thank you for flying with us! This mission is not a finish line, but one more step toward building sovereign launch capability at scale. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dK4NTcPi

Yesterday marked a moment 6 years in the making, building on the collective efforts of countless students, as we saw the first Norwegian orbital satellite launched from Norwegian soil. We are still in awe of what we experienced yesterday. Seeing the launch from Andøya, receiving the first beacons from FramSat-1 just a few hours later, and being met with so many congratulations has made this moment truly unforgettable. A huge thank you to Isar Aerospace for giving FramSat-1 a path from Andøya to orbit. Thank you for the respect, support, and professionalism you have shown us in every step of this process. It has meant the world to us to be among your first customers. Thank you so much to those that believed in us to make this possible. To Direktoratet for romvirksomhet, Andøya Space, and Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU). Thank you to European Space Agency - ESA and their Boost! Program, and German Aerospace Center (DLR)´s Microlauncher Competition which allowed us to get a spot on the rocket. Spesial thanks to Tyler Jones, Roger Birkeland, Amund Gjersvik Jøran Grande, Andreas Westre, Therese Kristiansen, Sindre Herstad, Daniel Stelzl, Tobias Kisthardt, Jørgen Bru and many more And a big thank you to our main sponsors KONGSBERG and Space Norway for supporting us on the way. This is a milestone we will never forget 💙 📸 Photo Credit: Sara Heitmann and Isar Aerospace © Isar Aerospace #FramSat1 #OrbitNTNU #IsarAerospace #AndøyaSpace #NTNU #StudentSatellite #SpaceTechnology #NorwegianSpace

To our incredible team: YOU DID IT! 🚀 On Saturday night, we celebrated becoming the first commercial space company from Europe to put satellites into orbit. Huge congratulations to the entire team. Your hard work, perseverance, and relentless drive throughout this journey cannot be overstated. You've made history. We couldn't be prouder of what you've achieved and what this moment means for space sovereignty and the future of spaceflight. But this is only the beginning. The next chapter will require rapidly scaling our capabilities with even more builders, more innovation, and even greater ambition. If you run toward hard problems, consistently raise the bar, and refuse to accept "impossible," we want you on the mission. 👉 isaraerospace.com/career

Orbit Achieved. Payload Deployed. Less than eighteen months after Flight 1, Mission 'Onward and Upward' delivered our first customer satellites to orbit, making Isar Aerospace the first privately funded launch company from Continental Europe to do so. Along the way, we successfully achieved major flight milestones: ✅ MaxQ ✅ Stage separation ✅ Stage 2 engine ignition ✅ Fairing separation ✅ ORBIT ✅ Second engine cutoff and transfer orbit injection ✅ Circularization burn completed ✅ Payload released ✅ Contact with first satellites acquired, remaining in progress

We made history. On just our second flight, we became the first commercial space company from Europe to deliver satellites into orbit. Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for European spaceflight. Mission 'Onward and Upward' lifted off from our dedicated launch complex at Andøya Space in Norway at 10:12 p.m. CEST and deployed payloads into orbit. Read more: https://lnkd.in/efKCt4e7
