Scaleway’s Post

🇪🇺 Trust is becoming one of the defining criteria for cloud infrastructure. As organizations accelerate AI adoption and modernize critical systems, they're looking for platforms that combine performance, openness and operational excellence with strong governance and long-term control. ✈️ Scaleway has been selected by Airbus as its sovereign cloud provider to support its cloud strategy. Built on European infrastructure and open technologies, our platform will support the modernization of critical enterprise workloads within a trusted cloud environment that integrates seamlessly with Airbus' existing multi-cloud ecosystem. This demonstrates that European cloud can deliver the performance, resilience and governance required by some of the world's most demanding organizations. 📖 Read the full press release below https://lnkd.in/eQBBTqEw #european #open #pragmatic #builtforwhatsnext #sovereignty #cloud #ai #quantum Damien Lucas Albane Bruyas Doreen Pernel Alix Guitard Luis ALVES Gilles Noël Béatrice Harrois Alexia Boulot Jean-Baptiste Kempf Sebastien Dupas Groupe iliad

Absolutely, the consumable for AI is data, without access to data AI is worthless. Gaining access to non public data requires trust, this means that Data Sovereignty is not just an EU, or national government issue, it’s a company and even a personal issue. Sovereign AI Datacenters that run at room temperature offer not just data protection, they save significant amounts of energy too, another critical growth influencer in the adoption of AI. Happy to speak more to those interested.

A significant milestone for the European cloud ecosystem. For critical workloads, trust must be translated into verifiable controls: data and log location, support access, encryption key governance, subcontractor oversight, reversibility and operational continuity. The key issue is not only where the cloud provider is established, but whether long-term control can be demonstrated across the actual architecture and service chain.

👏 Congrats to the Scaleway team on this milestone with Airbus! ⚖️ This choice is also a strong signal for compliance in critical infrastructure and confirms that digital sovereignty and legal risk management are increasingly converging: 🇪🇺 European hosting reduces exposure to extraterritorial reach (Cloud Act, FISA), but it doesn't exempt organizations from conducting a DPIA 📋 or verifying sub-processing clauses (Art. 28 GDPR), especially in a multi-cloud environment ☁️. 🏥 A model that European public hospitals should look to as well, given the sensitivity of health data and their own sovereignty stakes. 🔑 Sovereignty is a compliance asset, not a substitute for it. #GDPR #DigitalSovereignty #SovereignCloud #eHealth

This is a strong signal for the European cloud ecosystem. For critical workloads, trust, openness, and long-term control matter just as much as performance. Congratulations to the Scaleway team - impressive milestone!

Congrats to Erwan Soudée and all the scalers involve in this project! The kind of news that make us fly ✈️

My compliments guys. Very good job 👏👏👏

Congratulations to the Scaleway team on this huge achievement 🎉
