I came up with a mascot for the website named Silas, which is supposed to be a judgemental cat and your mentor. He is also interactive, try to click him and see what happens. The website encapsulate passive aggressively in a funny manner literally everywhere (Try to see the footer section and read the different footer links (career, term of services, etc...) ). Salvador Corts Sánchez reacted on thisSalvador Corts Sánchez reacted on thisTurns out, the Internet is just an AWS wrapper 👏😭 AWS’s US-East-1 went down yesterday, taking half the internet with it: → Snapchat, Fortnite, Amazon & Alexa → Coinbase, Robinhood, even airlines → Netflix buffering like it’s 2008 Over 6.5 million outage reports. 4 million users affected. All because a DNS bug tripped one data center 🤷♂️ It’s funny until you realize how fragile this all is. One glitch → hundreds of billions lost. The cloud was supposed to make us resilient. Para mí, una nota por encima del 7 es una señal de que han perdido el tiempo. Un tiempo valiosísimo que podrían haber dedicado a jugar, a relacionarse, a desarrollar el sentido común. El sistema educativo nos ha vendido que memorizar es aprender. Y nos pasamos años estudiando cosas inútiles. ¿Te acuerdas de las partes de un volcán? Porque yo no. Pero lo que nunca se me olvidará es la cara que se me quedó al ver mi primera nómina. Aluciné cuando vi que casi el 50% de mi sueldo se había esfumado. En ese momento pensé que por qué nadie me explicó eso antes. Salimos del colegio sin saber interpretar una nómina, sin entender qué es un recibo de la seguridad social, sin la más mínima educación financiera. Hoy en día, para memorizar datos ya están Google y ChatGPT. Lo que necesitamos son personas que sepan buscarse la vida. Por eso en mis empresas me dan igual los currículums o los expedientes académicos. Quiero gente que resuelva problemas, no que me recite un libro de texto. El mundo real va de otra cosa. Y eso no se aprende memorizando.

Same here. But good news: Two weeks ago, I officially joined the Loki Helm Chart Maintainers team. Since then, we’ve already merged 11 Helm-related changes into the latest release. I've seen its power, but I've also seen a persistent, nagging problem: we're often flying blind when it comes to the quality of our own #telemetry. We generate mountains of data hoping for insights, but so much of it ends up being noise. This 'bad telemetry' doesn't just drive up bills; it burns out engineers and makes it harder to solve real problems. Today, I'm happy to share what we've been building to fix this. My co-founder Yuri Oliveira Sá and I, along with our small, dedicated team, are officially launching OllyGarden. Our mission is to improve the efficiency of telemetry pipelines by helping engineers cultivate better data at the source. And we're not alone on this journey. We're fortunate to be backed by DIG Ventures and some of the most respected leaders and companies in observability who believe in this mission too, like Datadog Ventures, Grafana Labs, and Dash0. This is where I have two small asks: * If you're an observability engineer, SRE, or platform lead who feels this pain, I'd genuinely love to hear from you. Let's see if we can help you find and weed out your bad telemetry. * For everyone else, the best way to support us is to share this with someone you know who's wrestling with this problem.
