  • Rangers' Hector Osorio: Back from IL

Osorio (undisclosed) was activated from the 7-day injured list Sept. 21.

Osorio landed on the 7-day IL on July 24 due to an undisclosed injury and missed the remainder of the 2026 campaign, though it appears he's healthy heading into the offseason. He began the year at Single-A Hickory before finishing the season at High-A Hub City, where he slashed .275/.370/.489 with eight home runs, 22 RBI and 23 runs in 34 games.

  • Rangers' Corey Seager: Might require minor elbow surgery

Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young said Monday that Seager could require minor offseason surgery for a bone spur in his elbow "that he's dealt with for a few months," Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

It's not a given that Seager will choose the surgical route, but if he does, the expectation is that he will be fully recovered in time for the start of spring training. Injuries limited Seager to 102 games for the second season in a row, and he regressed at the plate year-over-year, finishing with a .227/.312/.424 batting line with 20 home runs during the 2026 campaign.

  • Rangers' Corey Seager: Reaches 20 homers in finale

Seager went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Twins.

Seager went deep in his final at-bat of the year to reach at least 20 home runs for the fifth straight campaign. The shortstop posted an .804 OPS with 10 homers in 51 second-half games after entering the All-Star break with a lowly .666 mark. Overall, he'll wrap up his 12th major-league season slashing a disappointing .227/.312/.424 with 20 long balls, 51 RBI, 57 runs scored and two steals across 436 plate appearances.

  • Rangers' MacKenzie Gore: Early hook in finale

Gore did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Twins, allowing one run on one hit and one walk over 2.1 innings. He did not record a strikeout.

Gore started a major-league-leading 34th game but did not last long, throwing 15 of 25 pitches for strikes and departing with one out in the third inning. It's unclear if the southpaw was injured Sunday, but he'll finish the campaign having completed five frames in only five of his final seven outings. He'll conclude his first season in Texas with a 4.58 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 174:71 K:BB across a career-high 173 innings.

  • Rangers' Logan O'Hoppe: Optioned by Texas

O'Hoppe was optioned to the ACL Rangers on Sunday.

The move corresponds with the Rangers recalling utility man Cam Cauley from Triple-A Round Rock. O'Hoppe has appeared in 10 games for the Rangers since being acquired from the Angels in late July, going 6-for-17 with an RBI and five runs scored with Texas.

  • Rangers' Cam Cauley: Called up by Texas

The Rangers recalled Cauley from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Cauley will provide the Rangers with infield depth for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Twins, with catcher Logan O'Hoppe being optioned in a corresponding move. Cauley has appeared in 34 major-league games this season and has a .626 OPS with one steal and a solo home run across 65 plate appearances.

  • Rangers' Nathan Eovaldi: Effective in return to rotation

Eovaldi took a no-decision Saturday against the Twins, striking out three while allowing one run on four hits and two walks in 4.1 innings.

Eovaldi made his first start since returning from the injured list in mid-September, ending the season on a positive note. The veteran right-hander has one more year left on his deal with the Rangers, and he figures to rejoin the rotation in 2027 following a disappointing campaign. After recording a career-best 1.73 ERA and 0.85 WHIP in 2025, Eovaldi worked to a 4.20 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 144:35 K:BB over 145.2 innings in 2026.

  • Rangers' MacKenzie Gore: Confirmed starter Sunday

Gore is scheduled to start in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Twins.

Gore will toe the rubber for Sunday's regular-season finale as the Rangers look to outlast the Astros for the AL West division crown to secure a spot in the playoffs. The 27-year-old southpaw made his last appearance Tuesday in a no-decision against the Mets, and Gore has a 4.59 ERA and 1.34 WHIP across a career-high 170.2 innings this season.

  • Rangers' Nicky Lopez: Leaves Saturday's game

Lopez (ankle/heel) was removed from Saturday's game against the Twins, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

Per Wilson, Lopez tweaked his left ankle/heel while trying to beat out a bunt at the top of the third inning, and he initially stayed in defensively before being replaced by Cody Freeman in the fourth. The Rangers should have an update on Lopez's status for Sunday's game once the veteran infielder undergoes more tests.

  • Rangers' Gavin Collyer: Optioned to minors

The Rangers optioned Collyer to the Arizona Complex League on Saturday.

Collyer gave up two earned runs in two innings during Friday's contest and will now be pushed out of Texas' bullpen in favor of Robby Ahlstrom, who will give the team another fresh arm to work with.

  • Rangers' Robby Ahlstrom: Up from Triple-A

The Rangers recalled Ahlstrom from Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.

The 27-year-old will provide the Rangers with another fresh bullpen arm to work with, replacing Gavin Collyer. Ahlstrom has recorded a 6.08 ERA and 1.43 WHIP over 37 innings with the Rangers this year and will likely be limited to middle-relief duty.

  • Rangers' Logan O'Hoppe: Up from Round Rock

The Rangers recalled O'Hoppe from Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.

O'Hoppe will rejoin the Rangers for the final weekend of the regular season to give the team a bat to replace Josh Jung, who landed on the IL with a fractured hand Saturday. O'Hoppe has posted just a .578 OPS in 274 plate appearances in the big leagues this year and isn't likely to see much playing time to close out the season.

  • Rangers' Josh Jung: Placed on IL

The Rangers placed Jung on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a fractured right hand.

Jung's move to the injured list will officially rule him out for the rest of the regular season and the start of a potential postseason run, though it's more likely that he remains sidelined until 2027. Cody Freeman and Nicky Lopez are the leading candidates to pick up starts in the infield while Jung is out, and Logan O'Hoppe will come up from Triple-A to replenish Texas' bench depth.

  • Rangers' Jacob deGrom: Tagged for eight runs

DeGrom (11-11) took the loss Friday against the Twins after allowing eight runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out five over four innings.

DeGrom matched a season high in runs allowed at the worst possible time, as the Rangers are in a tight race to win the AL West. The subpar outing overshadowed the fact that the star hurler also recorded his 200th strikeout of the season Friday, reaching the milestone for the first time since 2019. DeGrom made 31 starts this season and pitched at least 160 innings in back-to-back years for the first time since 2018 and 2019. He finishes the regular season with a 4.20 ERA and 1.14 WHIP across 162.2 frames. If the Rangers make the playoffs, expect DeGrom to take the ball in the AL Wild Card round.
