Warriors' Gui Santos: 'In the mix' for spot in starting lineup
Santos is "in the mix" for a spot in the starting lineup, Luca Evans of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Per head coach Steve Kerr, there will be "an open competition" for the three spots in the starting lineup alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Santos is coming off his best season with the Warriors in 2025-26. The 2022 No. 55 overall pick appeared in 68 regular-season games, including 30 starts, and averaged 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists, all career highs, across 20.5 minutes per contest. While Santos could earn an opportunity to start come opening night, that may not last, considering Kerr has been known to change things up throughout any given season. The same is true if Santos begins the 2026-27 campaign as a reserve.

Warriors' Charles Bassey: Could play larger role
Bassey could see more playing time to begin the season if Kristaps Porzingis (undisclosed) isn't ready for Opening Night.
Bassey bounced around last season, appearing for the Warriors, 76ers, Grizzlies and Celtics, but he's looking to find a home in Golden State. Assuming Draymond Green starts at power forward, Bassey could challenge veteran Al Horford for the starting position at center if Porzingis is out to start the year.

Warriors' Al Horford: Could play expanded role
Horford could open the season as a starter if Kristaps Porzingis (undisclosed) isn't ready for Opening Night.
Horford's best fantasy days may be behind him at 40 years old, but the opportunity for a larger role exists while Porzingis is on the mend. The veteran big man provided late-round fantasy numbers as a starter last regular season, having averaged 10.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 blocks in 23.7 minutes per contest over 13 games in the first unit.

Warriors' Draymond Green: Given green light from deep
Head coach Steve Kerr wants Green to shoot more open three-pointers this season, per Danny Emerman of SFStandard.com.
Green already took a career-high 4.6 three-point attempts per game last regular season, and it sounds like there's room for growth in that area. The veteran forward is worthy of a late-round pick in most fantasy leagues this fall, but he'll likely need the playmaking threats of Jimmy Butler (knee) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) to be in the lineup in order to maximize his efficiency.

Warriors' Miles Kelly: Lands camp deal
Kelly signed a training camp contract with the Warriors on Sunday.
Kelly will fight for a spot on the Warriors' roster ahead of the regular season. However, the team also owns his G League rights, so the 23-year-old wing will likely join the Santa Cruz Warriors if he's let go by Golden State.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Eyes sizable role in 2026-27
Head coach Steve Kerr said Monday that Lendeborg is "clearly going to play a ton," regardless of whether he starts or comes off the bench, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.
The No. 11 overall pick in this year's draft, Lendeborg is fresh off winning a national championship with Michigan, where he averaged 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals in 30.2 minutes per tilt across 40 games. He also earned Big Ten Player of the Year honors. The forward will be 24 years old when the season begins, and he'll seemingly step into a significant role right away for a Golden State team trying to win another title in the twilight of Stephen Curry's career.

Warriors' Kristaps Porzingis: Out indefinitely
Porzingis is out indefinitely due to an undisclosed issue, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.
Porzingis will miss the start of training camp due to the unknown issue, and his status for the beginning of the regular season is murky. If the veteran big man is forced to miss time to begin the campaign, Al Horford and Charles Bassey would be candidates for increased playing time.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Progressing in recovery
Butler has been cleared to participate in light on-court activities, Evan Webeck of the California Post reports.
Butler tore the ACL in his right knee in January before undergoing surgery in early February. The star forward still does not have a clear timetable for a return to game action, though it's encouraging to see his progression thus far. The 37-year-old appeared in 38 games during the 2025-26 regular season, averaging 20.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.4 steals across 31.1 minutes per contest.

Warriors' Moses Moody: Trending in right direction
Moody has progressed to light on-court activities as he continues his recovery from a ruptured left patellar tendon, Evan Webeck of The Mercury News reports.
Moody suffered the injury March 23 and underwent season-ending surgery four days later. The 24-year-old had been targeting September to resume running and on-court work, so his latest progress appears to keep his rehabilitation on track, though he remains without a firm timetable for his return to game action.

Warriors' Stephen Curry: Agrees to two-year extension
Curry agreed to a two-year, $116 million contract extension with the Warriors on Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Curry was eligible to sign a two-year, $136.7 million extension, though he took a discount to remain with Golden State as the team looks to win another championship in the twilight of the superstar point guard's career. The extension includes a player option for the 2028-29 campaign. The two-time MVP is coming off an injury-riddled 2025-26 season in which he appeared in just 43 regular-season games (41 starts), averaging 26.6 points, 4.7 assists, 4.4 triples, 3.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 30.9 minutes per contest while shooting 39.3 percent from downtown. There is some concern regarding Curry's long-term health after he dealt with patellofemoral pain syndrome in his right knee last season, according to Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area & California, though he's expected to be ready to go once training camp rolls around.

Warriors' Lajae Jones: Signs overseas
Jones has signed overseas with Pallacanestro Trieste in Italy, Luca Evans of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The 2026 second-round pick was expected to be a draft-and-stash selection. The Warriors will sign Graham Ike to their final two-way slot following this news.

Warriors' Graham Ike: Inks two-way deal
Ike signed a two-way deal with the Warriors on Sunday, Luca Evans of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Ike signed an Exhibit 10 deal in June, but he now has a two-way deal after a strong showing in Summer League. The Gonzaga product averaged 11.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game as a fifth-year senior in the 2025-26 college season.

Warriors' Obi Agbim: Agrees to camp deal with Warriors
Agbim agreed to a training camp deal with Golden State on Saturday, Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot reports.
Agbim ended his collegiate career at Baylor in 2025-26. In 33 games with the Bears, he averaged 10.7 points, 3.1 assists and 2.7 rebounds over 33.3 minutes per contest. Agbim will look to earn an opportunity with the Warriors, though a stint in the G League may be the most realistic outcome.

Warriors' Elias Ralph: Lands training camp contract
Ralph agreed to a training camp contract with the Warriors on Friday, Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot reports.
Ralph could join the Warriors for training camp, though it's possible Golden State will waive him before camp begins since the organization holds his G League rights. Over 33 games at the University of the Pacific in 2025-26, he averaged 16.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.9 steals across 34.6 minutes per contest.

Warriors' Deivon Smith: Inks pact with Golden State
Smith agreed to a training-camp contract with the Warriors on Tuesday, Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot reports.
Smith, who posted 21 points and nine rebounds off the bench in the Warriors' Summer League title game win over the Grizzlies, is set to compete for a spot on the team's regular-season roster. The 24-year-old appeared in 29 G League games between the Santa Cruz Warriors and College Park Skyhawks last season, averaging 11.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.2 combined steals-plus-blocks across 21.4 minutes per tilt.

McMillian is set to compete for a spot on Golden State's regular-season roster in training camp. He appeared in 31 outings with the G League's Santa Cruz Warriors in 2025-26, averaging 16.6 points, 4.9 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 0.8 steals across 29.9 minutes per showing.

Warriors' Alex Toohey: Inks pact with Golden State
Toohey (knee) signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Warriors on Wednesday, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.
Toohey was selected by the Warriors with the 52nd overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, though he was waived from his two-way deal in December before undergoing left knee surgery. The 22-year-old will compete for a spot on Golden State's regular-season roster in training camp, but it's unclear if he's fully recovered from the knee injury after missing Summer League.
