Top Bengals News

  • Bengals' Demetrius Knight: Nine tackles in loss

Knight made nine tackles (two solo) in the Bengals' 30-27 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.

Knight played 56 defensive snaps in the contest, good for 90% of the Bengals' defensive plays. The weakside linebacker led the team in tackles but was unable to do much more in a close shootout loss.

  • Bengals' Dexter Lawrence: Notches two sacks in loss

Lawrence logged four tackles (three solo), including 2.0 sacks, in the Bengals' 30-27 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.

The offseason addition to the Bengals' defensive line dominated in Sunday's game, showing why he commanded the tenth overall pick in the 2026 draft as trade capital. Lawrence sacked Aaron Rodgers two times in the contest and accumulated another two tackles, anchoring the middle of the Bengals' 4-3 defensive front.

  • Bengals' Kyle Dugger: Dealing with quad issue

Dugger (quadriceps) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

It's not immediately obvious, but Dugger might have sustained the quad injury at some point during Sunday's game at Pittsburgh. He'll likely need to get back on the practice field Thursday or Friday to have a chance to play in Week 4 versus the Jaguars.

  • Bengals' Samaje Perine: Four touches in Week 3 loss

Perine turned three carries into nine yards and caught one pass on three targets for five yards during the Bengals' 30-27 loss to the Steelers on Sunday. He also returned one kickoff for 26 yards.

Perine saw most of his offensive output in the first half and was limited to only one carry for zero gain in the second. His 18 offensive snaps were well behind Chase Brown's 40, and Perine figures to be limited to a rotational role in the Bengals' backfield this season unless Brown were to miss time. The Bengals will head home to host the Jaguars in Week 4.

  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Placed on injured reserve

The Bengals placed Davis (hamstring) on injured reserve Tuesday.

Davis injured his hamstring during the Bengals' 30-27 loss to the Steelers in Week 3. The injury is severe enough for the Utah State product to spend time on IR, which means he'll be sidelined for at least the next four games and is eligible to return for Week 9 against the Falcons on Sunday, Nov. 8. Ja'Sir Taylor (undisclosed) is also on injured reserve, so Dax Hill and Tacario Davis are both in line for more snaps in the Bengals' secondary.

  • Bengals' Tanner Hudson: Signed to Cincinnati's active roster

The Bengals signed Hudson off the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday.

Hudson was elevated from the practice squad for two of the Bengals' first three games of the regular season, accumulating three catches on as many targets for 17 yards. He'll now be a part of the team's 53-man roster moving forward and will contribute mostly on special teams and in a depth role on offense behind fellow tight ends Mike Gesicki, Drew Sample and Erick All.

  • Bengals' Mitchell Tinsley: Joining Cincinnati 's 53-man roster

The Bengals signed Tinsley off the Texans' practice squad to the active roster Tuesday.

The Bengals needed to replenish their depth at wide receiver due to the injury absences of Andrei Iosivas (thumb, IR) and rookie fourth-rounder Colbie Young (knee), the latter of whom has already been ruled out for Week 4 against the Jaguars. Tinsley appeared in 17 regular-season games for the Bengals in 2025, finishing with an 8-117-2 receiving line on 24 targets, though he joined the Texans' practice squad Sept. 1 after failing to make Cincinnati's 53-man roster at the end of training camp. Now that he's back with the Bengals, Tinsley will contribute both on special teams and in a rotational role on offense.

  • Bengals' Tanner Hudson: Back to practice squad

Hudson reverted to the Bengals' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Hudson caught both of his targets for 13 yards in Sunday's loss to the Steelers. The 31-year-old tight end has appeared in two games this season, securing all three of his targets for 17 yards. The Bengals like to use multiple tight ends, and Hudson played behind both Drew Sample and Mike Gesicki but ahead of Erick All against Pittsburgh. Hudson would likely need an injury to Gesicki to become relevant in fantasy.

  • Bengals' Colbie Young: Set to miss Week 4

Young (knee) is not expected to play in Week 4 against the Jaguars, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.

Young suffered a left knee injury in the first quarter of Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Steelers, and he was forced to miss the remainder of the contest. Head coach Zac Taylor provided an update Monday, explaining the wide receiver isn't dealing with a long-term injury, but he will be sidelined for at least one game. The Bengals are expected reevaluate the injury after Week 4 and then determine the next steps for Young.
