Hawks' Cameron Corhen: Signs with Atlanta
Corhen signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Hawks on Monday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Corhen didn't hear his name called in this year's draft but will get the chance to compete for a spot on the Hawks' regular-season roster during training camp. The organization also holds his G League rights. Over 33 games at Pittsburgh in 2025-26, he averaged 13.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.8 minutes per showing.

Hawks' Kobe Johnson: Joining Atlanta for training camp
Johnson signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Hawks on Monday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Johnson is set to join Atlanta for training camp, though the Hawks could waive him at any time since they own his G League rights. Over 32 appearances for the G League's College Park Skyhawks last season, he averaged 14.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.6 blocks across 30.6 minutes per tilt.

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Looking to make another leap
Hawks president of basketball operations Onsi Saleh said Johnson has "multiple levels he can raise his game to" as the forward continues his development, Malik Brown of ClutchPoints.com reports.
"Jalen's really hard on himself, and we're hard on Jalen because we think he has multiple levels he can raise his game to," Saleh said. The comments suggest Atlanta will continue pushing Johnson to expand his game, and he's up for the challenge. Look for Atlanta's franchise player to be heavily involved on both ends of the court this season.

Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Shot expected to improve
Hawks president of basketball operations Onsi Saleh called Daniels "one of the most impactful players in the NBA" and an "all-world defender" while expressing confidence that his shooting will improve, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Daniels remained highly productive across the board in 2025-26, averaging 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.0 steals in 33.2 minutes across 76 regular-season appearances, but he connected on just 18.8 percent of his 1.5 three-point attempts per game. Despite the lack of perimeter shooting, Daniels shot 51.7 percent overall and earned a spot on the All-Defensive Second Team. Atlanta's continued confidence in his offensive development is encouraging heading into 2026-27.

Hawks' Keon Johnson: Signs Exhibit 10 pact
Johnson agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Hawks on Wednesday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Johnson could compete for a spot on Atlanta's regular-season roster, though the organization already owns his G League rights and could waive him before training camp begins. The 2021 first-rounder appeared in 15 outings with the G League's Maine Celtics in 2025-26, averaging 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.7 blocks across 24.4 minutes per game.

Hawks' Dorian Finney-Smith: Traded to Atlanta
The Hornets traded Finney-Smith to the Hawks on Tuesday in exchange for Buddy Hield and Ryan Nembhard, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Finney-Smith has now been traded twice this offseason after Houston shipped him to Charlotte in a salary-dump move. The veteran forward has been a solid defender and floor spacer in his career, but he struggled mightily, mostly due to injuries, during his brief tenure with the Rockets. In Atlanta, Finney-Smith will compete for a reserve role, limiting his fantasy appeal.

Hawks' Henri Veesaar: Diagnosed with torn ACL
Veesaar was diagnosed with a torn right ACL and is expected to miss the 2026-27 season, the Hawks announced Monday.
Veesaar suffered the injury during a Sept. 15 workout, and an MRI confirmed the diagnosis. The No. 52 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, Veesaar was expected to spend a lot of time with Atlanta's G League affiliate this season.

Hawks' Devon Higgs: Joining Atlanta for camp
The Hawks signed Higgs to a training camp contract Tuesday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
After participating in the Las Vegas Summer League with Atlanta, Higgs is linking back up with the Hawks. Rowland notes that Higgs is likely to eventually be waived and sent to the G League's College Park Skyhawks, though.

Hawks' Corey Kispert: Role uncertain for 2026-27
Kispert will have added competition for playing time after the Hawks acquired both Luguentz Dort and Aaron Wiggins this offseason.
Kispert was traded from Washington to Atlanta last January, averaging 9.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 18.2 minutes per game in 39 regular-season appearances with the Hawks. However, the club traded for Wiggins, Dort and Ryan Nembhard this summer, giving up Zaccharie Risacher and draft capital in the two deals. Kispert's floor-spacing ability could help him retain a meaningful role, but he isn't guaranteed significant minutes in a crowded wing group.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Strong showing for Canada
Alexander-Walker recorded 26 points (8-17 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block in 35 minutes during Canada's 97-92 win over Argentina in Monday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.
The 27-year-old is coming off a breakout 2025-26 campaign in which he earned Most Improved Player honors after averaging career highs of 20.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 45.9 percent from the field and 39.9 percent from three-point range during the regular season. Atlanta added more perimeter depth this offseason, including Luguentz Dort, which could make it difficult for Alexander-Walker to duplicate last season's offensive volume.

Hawks' Buddy Hield: Strong showing in win
Hield recorded 19 points (7-18 FG, 5-13 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in 33 minutes during the Bahamas' 100-82 win over Panama in Monday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.
The veteran sharpshooter's $9.7 million salary for 2026-27 was fully guaranteed by Atlanta this offseason, but his role remains uncertain on an extremely crowded Hawks roster. Hield averaged 7.6 points while making 1.0 three-pointers per game during the regular season in 2025-26, but Atlanta's collection of perimeter options could make consistent minutes difficult to come by.

Hawks' Luguentz Dort: Shines for Canada
Dort recorded 25 points (8-13 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 27 minutes during Canada's 97-92 win over Argentina in Monday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.
The 27-year-old will begin a new chapter in 2026-27 after being traded from Oklahoma City to Atlanta during the offseason. Dort averaged just 8.3 points per game last regular season, and he'll join a deep Hawks perimeter rotation that also features Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Dyson Daniels, CJ McCollum and Buddy Hield. Dort's defense should earn him consistent playing time, but the competition for shots is expected to limit his fantasy ceiling.

Hawks' Asa Newell: Targeting larger role
Newell will look to build upon his rookie campaign after averaging just 11.4 minutes across 44 regular-season appearances.
The young big remains an intriguing developmental piece due to his athleticism, rebounding and ability to finish around the basket, though Atlanta's frontcourt depth could continue to limit his opportunities. Newell is unlikely to warrant much attention in standard fantasy formats unless he secures a substantially larger role in his second season.

Hawks' Ryan Nembhard: Not guaranteed a role
Nembhard will look to establish himself in Atlanta's backcourt after joining an organization with plenty of competition for guard minutes.
Nembhard's passing and ability to organize an offense are his strongest avenues toward earning playing time, though he's unlikely to begin the season with a significant role. Nembhard's fantasy appeal will consequently be limited unless injuries or roster movement create a larger opportunity.

Hawks' Zuby Ejiofor: To fight for minutes
Ejiofor enters his rookie campaign after the Hawks selected him 23rd overall in the 2026 NBA Draft.
The 6-foot-9 forward flashed his two-way potential during Summer League, including a performance in which he recorded 13 points, six rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Atlanta's veteran depth could prevent Ejiofor from immediately seeing heavy minutes, but his rebounding and defensive ability give him a path toward becoming a useful rotation piece.

Hawks' Kingston Flemings: Could be heavily involved
Flemings enters his rookie season after Atlanta selected him with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Hawks president of basketball operations Onsi Saleh praised Flemings' competitiveness on both ends of the floor following the draft, and the young guard should have an opportunity to earn minutes despite Atlanta's considerable perimeter depth. Flemings' immediate fantasy value will depend on how quickly he can carve out a role, but his draft capital makes him one of the organization's most important developmental pieces.
